Seizing his chance for escape, he leapt from the ship onto the back of a dolphin who carried him to safety. Therefore the dolphin was honoured and placed in the sky near the constellation Lyra. Delphinus the Dolphin is easy to see near the summer triangle as a small diamond shape with a tail.
