Small Ensemble - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.522186 Composed by Unknown. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Christmas,Holiday,Renaissance. Score and parts. 27 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #6363609. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.522186). These are two charming dances taken from a collection entitled Recueil de danseries, contenant presque toutes sortes de danses (“Collection of dances, containing almost all kinds of dancesâ€) published in Antwerp in 1583 by Pierre Phalèse Jnr (c.1545-1629). He was continuing the work of his father Pierre Phalèse the Elder (1510-1575) the most important publisher in the Low Countries during the 16th century and who published his First Book of Dances in Leuven in 1571. The Antwerp publication of 1583 contains about half the dances from the original 1571 edition, together with some new titles, making a total of about seventy numbers. The 1583 collection contains a large selection of gaillardes, almandes and bransles which were all popular courtly dances of the time. The lively and well-known piece entitled Ungaresca appears on page 24 of the original publication. The drone accompaniment that Phalèse provides suggests the sound of the peasant bagpipes. The name Ungaresca is a term used outside Hungary to denote a dance in the Hungarian style and this particular one probably first appeared in a 1578 dance collection for viol consort - Mainerio's Primo libro de balli. As a result, the music is sometimes attributed to Mainerio. In this arrangement, Ungaresca is paired with the delightful Almande Poussinghe which appears on page 16 of the original. This wonderful music of the 16th century still speaks to us today and this arrangement would be an ideal concert item, playable by virtually any combination of conventional wind instruments with optional percussion and keyboard parts. The optional keyboard part enables you to use the piece as a solo or duet and trio for mixed instruments. Some minor changes have been made to the inner parts to facilitate performance. This 4-part arrangement is presented in a single PDF file which includes the Full Score; Part 1 (C, B flat, E flat); Part 2 (C, B flat, E flat); Part 3 (C, F, B flat, E flat), Part 4 (C, B flat, E flat); Keyboard and Percussion. Most electronic keyboards have a harpsichord option. The score and set of parts come in a single PDF file.

Small Ensemble Alto Saxophone,B-Flat Clarinet,B-Flat Trumpet,Flute,Horn,Trombone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1047346 By Blaze Scheuerman. By Blaze Scheuerman. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Jazz,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 43 pages. Blaze Scheuerman #651904. Published by Blaze Scheuerman (A0.1047346). Through The Years is meant to be a reflection back onto one’s childhood. Inspired by my own upbringing, it is a recollection of past events that came and mindsets experienced. It opens up with a loud and active sound to show the start of the journey. The character begins happy and energetic, going head first with no fear. The dotted quarter note theme at measure 11 then shows the young child’s state of mind. While beginning to understand concepts of anxiety and fear, he is still full of vigor and confidence. Then at measure 26, the main character begins his adolescence. Still fresh and happy, he sees the world in a simple way and that it is actively watching out for him. He is enjoying this passive time of leisure until measure 40, where he decides to actively try to seek out something. He gets carried away however, and tries to return back to his roots, seen in measure 59. Unfortunately he finds himself tainted and unable to return to his go-getting former self. He then does something peculiar in measure 77. Instead of being angered or saddened by this fact, he accepts it and takes a step back to rebuild himself, seen in the fugato section. After a long and detailed remapping, he finds himself back at his desired happy self. However at measure 127, he feels himself changing once again. So through active awareness and will, he prevents himself from changing into something he doesn’t want to be and instead stays as his desired self.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.845468 Composed by Finneas O'Connell. Arranged by Musikeo. Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. Musikeo #6381847. Published by Musikeo (A0.845468). I Don't Miss You at All is a song by American singer-songwriter Finneas from his debut EP, Blood Harmony (2019). It was released by OYOY as the fourth and final single from the EP on September 20, 2019. The dark pop track, was written and produced by Finneas himself. The song received mainly positive reviews from music critics, several of whom praised the music and lyrical content. During his October 2019 United States tour, the singer performed the song. He also sang it on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and during a livestream for Verizon Communications.Finneas explained in a statement that the song is about trying to convince yourself that you're over someone. Remembering all your absolute favorite things about them and pretending they mean nothing to you now. Finneas wrote I Don't Miss You at All while touring in New York City. He was sitting on a hotel bed while playing a toy guitar he had bought in Boston. He intended to write a song that felt like it was entirely a lie, the way we all lie to ourselves to try to feel like we're over someone when [we're] definitely, definitely not.The piano score you'll find follows the original structure of the song with it's bossa-nova flavour. Perfect tune to practice rythmic patterns in your left hand. Enjoy playing it on your piano!

Fl(pic).2cl(1.Ebcl, 2.bcl)-pno.hp-vla.vc.db ensemble - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q43250 For ensemble. Composed by Julian Anderson. This edition: study score. Music Of Our Time. Downloadable, Study score. Duration 19 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q43250. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q43250). The starting point was the collected letters of Vincent van Gogh. In spite of the tragedies for which van Gogh is best known, his letters are filled with joyous exuberance for the practical considerations of his work: what he will paint next and, most importantly, what colours he will use. For Julian Anderson, it seems the painter relishes ‘the sheer stuff of which his art is made’. In Van Gogh Blue, Anderson relishes the sheer stuff of which his own art is made. It’s a very physical, highly contrasted work about the joy of sound. Instrumental colour plays a large role, and Anderson’s use of two mobile clarinetists allows extra colour as their sound moves through the acoustic space of the hall.

Small Ensemble Horn,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.971700 Composed by Horatio Spafford (lyric) and Phillip Bliss (music). Arranged by Michael E. Ropp. Christian,Sacred,Spiritual. Score and parts. 11 pages. Michael E. Ropp #2959209. Published by Michael E. Ropp (A0.971700). I have always loved this hymn, and one Sunday morning when I had been called upon to write something lyric for our brass quartet (two trumpets in Bb, horn in F, and tuba), I went straight for It Is Well With My Soul.  This arrangement tells in music the story of Horatio Spafford and the circumstances under which he wrote the lyric for this hymn.  The piece opens with sounding of the horn of Spafford’s ship as she passes over the point at which Spafford's four daughters were lost.  The first verse builds dramatically as the lyric comes to Spafford and ends with the lovely chorus.  The next section is based on the third stanza of the hymn in which Spafford writes, My sin, not the part, but the whole, is nailed to the cross…  The horn gets the melody, evoking the sound of Spafford’s own voice, and the other instruments vividly paint the hammering of the nails.  However, as Spafford moves into the chorus, the harmony becomes dark and uncertain as Spafford’s grief overwhelms him; his faith wavers as he tries to believe what he is writing.  Then, the melody transfers to the trumpet as Spafford is answered by the higher voice from above-his daughters assuring him that, yes, it IS well, it is well.  The piece then ends with a peaceful statement of the chorus, evocative of the rolling sea and Spafford’s soul at peace.  This piece can be played by a student ensemble; the primary challenge is in achieving the level of expression and emotion required to pull off a piece like this.
