The poem was written by Dr. Henry Fields, a former minister of the church, and now retired. It's quite a gentle setting, as befits the words, and is for mixed choir (SATB, with some divisions), with piano (or organ) accompaniment.  A light orchestration is also available from the composer.The music builds to a gentle climax at the end of the poem:As angels sing and shepherds praiseAnd wise men priceless treasures raise,O bow your head to the lowly sodFor you hold none other than the Eternal God.

Published by Lucy Wilson (A0.905183). This is an arrangement for brass quintet of Seal's hit 'Kiss From A Rose'. First released in 1994, and featured in the film Batman Forever, this song was a no.1 hit in the US and Australia.This arrangement features the trombone as the main soloist, with some wonderful moments for showcasing the rich, vocalistic tone of the instrument. The French horn also has some 'pearly' moments, starting with the opening introduction soaring high in the register. The trumpets also enjoy the melody during the chorus which features them playing together in octaves. Some moments in the trombone and horn part may be a little high for some players, but these will work just as well taken down an octave where necessary.This is a terrific song, with rich harmonies and lots of melodic interest. This arrangement has been performed at concerts and weddings by it's creator, Nick Baron, in his own marimba duo, and it is now here on sale for the first time.Seal's masterpiece is poignant, elegant and soulful; these characteristics shared by the marimba with its soft attack and warm resonance make it a perfect fit.The arrangement follows the form of Seal's original but there is creativity in the marimba writing; for example the way a groove is often created between the ostinato rhythms of the two marimbas to suggest the presence of a rhythm section. Both parts are for four mallets and it is written in the key of C#. This arrangement would be an excellent addition to a conservatoire-level concert programme. Requirements: two players, four mallets each, two 4.3 octave marimbas.
