Instrumental Duet English Horn,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.964370 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Leyandder Trustworthy. Baroque,Instructional,Sacred,Standards. Score and parts. 2 pages. Leyandder Trustworthy #6320693. Published by Leyandder Trustworthy (A0.964370). Cantata 156 was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast (72, 73, 111 and 156), it was the last, and the only one scored for solo voice. Like Cantatas 73 and 111, it is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different melodies and choral texts in the second and sixth (final) movements, respectively; the second uses Machs mit mir, Gott, nach deiner Güt (Schein, 1628), which Herr, wie du willt, so schicks mit mir (Binemann, 1582) is reserved for the finale. This version of the piece was adapted for English Horn along with a piano accompaniment that comes with the product.

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Tenor Horn,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.591279 Composed by David McKeown. Easter,Latin,Pop,R & B,Rock. Score and parts. 3 pages. David McKeown #6290885. Published by David McKeown (A0.591279). The Chocolate Chalypso is a fun and original duet written by David McKeown for one Trumpet and one Tenor Horn in E Flat. Chocolate Chalypso is one in a series of ten Easter-themed duets each written in a different American dance style. In the late ‘50s just a handful of national TV shows in the US had a huge influence on the music and dance crazes of the time. Artists and dances came and went with dizzying speed. Chalypso was a short-lived craze in 1958 that combined the music of the new Rock’n’Roll with much-simplified steps borrowed from Cha Cha and Calypso; and no sooner had it caught on than it was itself supplanted by The Twist. Chocolate Chalypso is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above, with the accessible key and range balanced by some syncopated rhythms and accidentals. With a playing-time of around one and a half minutes, Chocolate Chalypso is a perfect upbeat addition to any performance program, formal or informal. Instrumental Solo,Piano,Tenor Horn - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1112420 Composed by Scott Joplin. Arranged by David McKeown. 20th Century,Jazz,Ragtime. Score and individual part. 8 pages. David McKeown #714454. Published by David McKeown (A0.1112420). The most popular of Scott Joplin’s piano rags during his lifetime, The Maple Leaf Rag was published in 1899. Joplin lived for a while in Sedalia, Missouri and the Maple Leaf Club in that town is thought to have provided the name for this composition. It provided Joplin with a steady income for the rest of his life, and while he requested that it be played at his funeral, his wife refused as she felt it inappropriate. It was the first track on Joshua Rifkin’s famous 1970 revival recording of Joplin’s music and, never waning in popularity, it has featured in hundreds of films. This version for Tenor Horn in E Flat and Piano includes all four sections of the original composition. The tempo in recorded versions varies widely between 72 and 126, so the marking of 92 is a suggestion only. Musicians at an advanced intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances. The overall performance time is around four minutes. Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with phrasing, syncopated rhythms and light articulation.  Click the YouTube link to hear a full performance of the clarinet version of this arrangement.
