Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.808952 Composed by Mario Totaro. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 44 pages. Preludio s.r.l. #6140709. Published by Preludio s.r.l. (A0.808952). Six Bagatelles for piano written by italian composer Mario Totaro. In the summer of 2016 Preludio asks the composer Mario Totaro to write some pieces for piano intended for sync advertising, movies and television. However, in the publisher’s intention, these pieces would have to possess a number of specific features: simplicity, neutral expressivity, positivity, in order to be functional to the objective. Mario Totaro accepted the challenge, and the five bagatelles published in this volume are his personal «answer».Maintaining a balance between individuality and business needs can be very difficult, as it can be hard to reach a certain level of «acceptability» in this field. Difficult, but not impossible. Yet such a challenge can also be as stimulating as amusing experience. Moreover, these bagatelles prove it: despite being quite simple, they reveal a care for detail and a significant daintiness; they are indeed expressive, but they refer to the imagination of their author; finally, they are functional to their purpose without showing it, as too often happens to a certain type of «musical wallpaper» to which we are accustomed. In short, Totaro can measure out all the elements without sacrificing his compositive personality or artistic integrity, and this is definitely a goal that not all composers (sometimes even the biggest) can achieve.

By Bart Howard. Arranged by Richard Jones. Jazz,Standards. Brass Band. 28 pages. Richard Jones #1065680. Published by Richard Jones (A0.1488827). Not many pieces about space can also be said to have been played in space, but 'Fly Me to the Moon' can claim to be one of those. Originally entitled 'In Other Words', the song was written by Bart Howard in 1954 and dedicated to his partner of 58 years Thomas Fowler. Howard, a career musician and notable piano accompanist had collaborated with many other artists, including Cole Porter, but sadly had never gained individual acclaim. A publisher once suggested that his songs were too complex and when Howard was encouraged to write a simpler tune he produced Fly Me to the Moon in 20 minutes; and the rest is history.Notable artists have covered the song, including Tony Bennett, Peggy Lee, Paul Anka, Nancy Wilson, the pop band Westlife and transcribed into Urdu by the artist Alamgir. Howard estimated that before 1964 there had been over 100 versions of the song had been recorded. However, it was Frank Sinatra that made it a global success in 1964. With the legendary composer/arranger Quincy Jones and jazz icon Count Basie, Sinatra produced a sensationally swinging version of the song that captured listeners attention, and later NASA, who would use it on Apollo 10 and 11 missions. It was performed by Diana Krall at the 40th Anniversary of the landings and also, in a more somber setting, at the funeral of space legend Neil Armstrong.

String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1266273 Composed by Antonio Vivaldi. Arranged by Snakewood Editions. Baroque,Classical. Score and Parts. 12 pages. Sneakwood Editions #859004. Published by Sneakwood Editions (A0.1266273). The autograph is held in the Biblioteca Nazionale Universitaria di Torino (I-Tn, Giordano 34, Bl. 100-102). It is the only known copy of this work. The work was surely composed between 1725 and 1734.[2]  It is copied in full score format. In the known catalog of Vivaldi’s works we find another piece that shares the same title, it is the Sonata à 4 al Santo Sepolcro (Sonata in E flat major RV 130). Both pieces feature a similar structure: a slow introduction and a fugal movement.Sepolcri, or oratorios for the sepulchre, were a kind of composition that was performed at the Viennese courts during Holy Week. These were semi-staged oratorios. The examples that survive by Caldara or Fux show how the introductions of these oratorios always had the same scheme: a slow introduction followed by a fugal movement, just like the RV 169 and RV 130.These compositions are undoubtedly inspired by the Viennese, although it seems unlikely that Vivaldi wrote them as a commissioned work. However, it is possible that they were composed to support his application to the Viennese court. It is also quite probable that these pieces were intended to accompany some of the liturgical actions that were celebrated between Holy Thursday and Holy Saturday, such as the visit to the Sepulchers in Venetian churches.

Bass Guitar TAB - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1478384 By Ludwig van Beethoven. By Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Arranged By: Tracy DeanMcCallum. Classical. Score. 3 pages. Tracy Dean McCallum #1055768. Published by Tracy Dean McCallum (A0.1478384). https://tracymccallum.com/Für Elise: Bass Guitar Transcription with Tab and PianoFür Elise, originally for solo piano by Ludwig van Beethoven, can be adapted for a unique duet between bass guitar and piano. Here's a description of a possible transcription:Bass Line:Focus on Lower Register: The bass guitar will likely play an octave lower than the original piano melody, providing a low-end foundation.Melodic Following: The bassline won't simply play root notes of each chord. Instead, it might follow the essence of the piano melody, creating a counterpoint while staying within the bass guitar's range and avoiding awkward stretches.Rhythmic Variation: The bassline could add some rhythmic interest by using syncopation or playing off the piano's phrasing. However, it would likely maintain a steady pulse to anchor the groove.Tablature: The bass part would be written in tablature (tab) notation, indicating which frets to play on each string. This makes it easy for bass guitarists to understand and learn the part.Piano Part:Simplified Arrangement: The piano part might be a simplified version of the original, focusing on the main melody and chords. This allows the bass guitar to take the spotlight while the piano provides harmonic support.Left Hand: The piano's left hand would likely play the root notes and arpeggios of the chords, creating a foundation for the harmony.Right Hand: The right hand could play a simplified version of the melody, or focus on arpeggios and embellishments to add texture.Overall Sound:Intertwined Melodies: The combination of the bassline following the piano melody and the piano's right hand playing a simplified version creates a sense of two melodies intertwining.Warmth and Depth: The lower register of the bass guitar adds warmth and depth to the original piano piece.Modern Interpretation: This transcription offers a fresh take on a classical masterpiece, showcasing the versatility of both instruments.Finding the Transcription:While this description provides a general idea, finding a complete and ready-made transcription of Für Elise for bass guitar with piano might require some searching. Piano,Viola - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1217756 Composed by David Popper. Arranged by Dr. Gilbert Sak. 19th Century,Classical,Romantic Period. Score and part. 16 pages. Gilbert Sak #814297. Published by Gilbert Sak (A0.1217756). David Popper (1843-1913) was a virtuoso cellist and he composed almost exclusively for the cello.  Polonaise de Concert, Op. 14 is one of his most popular and most played showpieces.  It’s a very effective piece which also works very well on the viola, with lots of energetic motives mixed with expressive melodic lines.  It also has ample opportunity to showcase the performer’s technical command, but nothing unsurmountable.  This transcription fully preserves the original flavour of the Polonaise but at the same time maintains the characteristic voice of the viola.  The viola part is fully annotated with bowings and fingerings which are practical and efficient, with consideration of keeping all the idiomatic features that are particular to the cello.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1011208 Composed by Franco Esteve. Contemporary,Film/TV. Score and parts. 17 pages. Franco Esteve #4601475. Published by Franco Esteve (A0.1011208). The Hunt is the title track to my modern, classical crossover, concept album, The Hunt. The Hunt is the hunt of life, hunting for health, for life, for happiness, for love, for ideas, for creativity, for success. The song represents the drive, the moving, the launch, that hope, that happiness, when you set out to do something in your life. From the album booklet (as it's a concept album, each song, though independent, has an overarching story):The effort has paid off. The day is here. The mood is happy. Success awaits. Let's go.Let's do it. It's sitting there for the taking.I'm in the zone. I'm in the flow. The huntress has shown me the bounty, and I'm ready to take it, to receive it, to enjoy it. I deserve it.Though it was written with larger groups in mind or small orchestras, keeping it in a way quite simple, it can most likely be played with 2 clarinets, a cello, and a trumpet. I can imagine it can work quite nicely with a school orchestra or any small ensemble, even if some might need to make some minor adjustments to how it's played. It's meant to be played in an upbeat and happy fashion, and the trumpet should be sexy and fun. It'll be fun to hear how others interpret it.The PDF includes the full score and all 4 individual parts (Clarinet, Clarinet Section in Bb, Cellos, Trumpet Section in Bb). The music is 2 minutes and 41 seconds (2:41).Thank you for your interest in my music. I hope y’all enjoy playing it as much as I did composing it.Don’t forget to keep up to date with everything Franco Esteve:Website: http://www.francoesteve.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/seefrancoesteveTwitter: https://www.twitter.com/FrancoEsteveInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/seefrancoesteveSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4VMSPHtolbzozjH4OY0I6BMy music is also available on all major, online music stores and streaming services, including:Bandcamp: https://francoesteve.bandcamp.comCDBaby: https://store.cdbaby.com/Artist/FrancoEsteveSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4VMSPHtolbzozjH4OY0I6BiTunes/Apple Music: https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/franco-esteve/894690746I'm a BMI affiliated artist and you can contact me using the contact form at:http://www.francoesteve.com or through Facebook or Twitter. Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.966508 Composed by Stuart Sosnoski. Instructional,Standards. Score. 4 pages. Stuart Sosnoski #2881247. Published by Stuart Sosnoski (A0.966508). Speed Limit 90 is a piece I wrote for a student of mine who loves car racing.  He, and other students of mine, love the piece very much.  The piece is challenging but when played up to speed and smoothly, the excitement of its performance is obvious.  One particular technique my students enjoy is the Ceasuras.  Their imagination is enhanced when they picture a cow in the road, or a stop sign, and have to slam on the brakes!  The rhythms of the melody and accompaniment are somewhat advanced, but are repetitious throughout, so students reinforce them greatly.  Use of accents on certain beats in the melody and accompaniment reinforces this technique as well.  Speed Limit 90’s tempo indicator is half note is at 90 on the metronome.  Having the half note receive a beat is advanced for this level however, the piece can easily be played in 4/4 time until the student is comfortable with the cut-time feel.  Your students will be challenged by Speed Limit 90 but they will also love showing it off at recitals!

Woodwind Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1028053 Composed by Sarah Hersh. 20th Century,Contemporary. 14 pages. Burbury Lane Music #4276953. Published by Burbury Lane Music (A0.1028053). No clarinet duet has made me stop in rehearsal and just smile so much from how cool things sounded. - Marcus Moore, clarinetist on Duo MpingoDuo Mpingo is an approximately 6 minute crowd pleaser that is perfect for any occasion. It is a modern but accessible piece that is loosely based on the lifecycle of a mpingo, or African blackwood, tree. It is a relatively advanced piece but could be performed by advanced level students. Duo Mpingo can be programmed equally well on environmental-themed or any other type of concert.Program Note: When I began to research the mpingo (African blackwood) tree in preparation for writing this piece, I came to learn that it is a fascinating tree. It has the ability to survive fires, it does not reach maturity for about 70 – 100 years, and it improves soil fertility. However, it is endangered in several African countries due to illegal logging and over-harvesting, in part because of its beautiful dark heartwood. The outside of the mpingo tree looks like any other tree with a light brown color; the inside, however, is a gorgeous, dark brown-black color – a color you have seen if you’ve ever seen a clarinet, as clarinets, along with other western instruments, are made out of the dark heartwood of the mpingo tree. I had never stopped to think about why wooden clarinets have such a dark color instead of what one typically thinks of as a wood color. I was astonished by the hidden beauty of this tree and what secrets lay inside.Duo Mpingo is somewhat programmatic in that it loosely chronicles the imagined life of a mpingo tree. There is a short section close to the middle of the piece (the inner part of the piece, if you will) that is meant to evoke the beautiful, mysterious, endangered dark heartwood of the mpingo tree. The direction to the performers for this section is solemn, prayer-like, reverential, which is how I feel we should look at every tree – not as something in our way that needs to be cut down, but with reverence for the amazing living things they are.Duo Mpingo was commissioned and premiered by Daraja Music Initiative and Clarinets for Conservation to promote a sustainable planet. This recording is by members of Terminus Ensemble, Marcus Moore and Lauren Murphy. To hear the entire piece, please visit www.sarahhersh.com.The composer is a member of ASCAP and may be reached at www.sarahhersh.com or sarahhershcomposer@gmail.com.

Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1514728). SAMAN - accessible gentle piece for FLUTE & GUITARIntended for classical guitar, though sometimes it gets listed erroneously under electric guitar.Derek Hasted writes Composed for piano in the key of 3 flats, this gentle piece has a timeless, ethereal sound. There are a handful of arrangements for guitar using a Capo to recreate the original key, but it’s hard to recreate the spacious, effortless sound and pedal sustain of the piano. My flute and guitar duet version places the piece in a different key, where the guitar breathes more easily, and adds a lot of depth to the flute part. The difficult guitar chords and stretches, the awkward sustains - they’ve all gone, and the result is an accessible duet that will delight audiences with its grace and smoothness. The flute part occasionally reaches top E (3 ledger lines up) and it’s important not to be shrill here, as the flute will carry over the guitar at even a modest volume. There are no dynamics, but somehow the piece seems to know how it needs to be played...I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1368471 By Jose Valladares. By Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Jose Valladares. 19th Century. Score. 9 pages. Circlesquare Music #952818. Published by Circlesquare Music (A0.1368471). The Sonatina in F Major, Anh. 5, No. 2 is often attributed to Ludwig van Beethoven, one of the most celebrated composers in Western music history. However, it's important to note that the authenticity of this piece as a work by Beethoven has been questioned by musicologists. The Anh. in the title stands for Anhang, which means appendix in German and refers to a cataloguing system used for works that are either of doubtful authenticity or definitively known not to be composed by Beethoven. Despite this, the piece remains popular among students and teachers for its pedagogical value.Assuming the piece is studied as part of Beethoven's attributed works, here are some key aspects you might expect from the Sonatina in F Major, Anh. 5, No. 2:Sonatina Form: The sonatina is a simplified version of the sonata, generally shorter and less complex, making it suitable for early intermediate students. It usually consists of two or three movements, with the first often following a sonata-allegro structure but in a more condensed form.Key of F Major: The key of F Major tends to have a bright and cheerful character. In a sonatina, this key would lend the piece an uplifting and pleasant quality, making it enjoyable for both performers and listeners.Classical Style Characteristics: Even though the authenticity is in question, pieces attributed to Beethoven typically showcase characteristics of the Classical period, such as clarity in structure, balanced phrasing, and harmonic exploration. The Sonatina in F Major would likely reflect these elements.Technical and Musical Aspects: Sonatinas provide an excellent opportunity for students to develop fundamental skills such as phrasing, articulation, and dynamic contrast. This particular sonatina in F Major would probably include lyrical melodies, clear textures, and typical Classical period accompaniment patterns.Pedagogical Value: Given its approachable difficulty level, the Sonatina in F Major, Anh. 5, No. 2 serves as an excellent teaching piece for introducing young or early intermediate students to the sonata form and Classical style playing.
