It was used in an episode from the fifth season of the popular medical drama Grey's Anatomy, teen drama television series 90210 and in the 2010 film Easy A.In 2024, the Philippine singer Shaira released a song titled “Selos.� However, it was discovered that “Selos� used the melody from Australian singer-songwriter Lenka’s 2008 pop song “Trouble is a Friend.� Despite having different lyrics in Tagalog, the unauthorized use of Lenka’s melody raised copyright concerns. As a result, Shaira’s song was voluntarily removed from streaming platforms on March 19, 2024. Shaira’s recording label, AHS Channel, acknowledged the infringement and is currently working on securing a cover license for “Selos.� They expressed their apologies to Lenka and thanked those who enjoyed Shaira’s cover song.

This arrangement has been transposed into the key of C (or A minor) for easier playing, rather than the original key of B-flat.  This arrangement was created to assist low vision musicians, therefore most extra markings on the page have been removed to reduce page clutter.  It features larger notes and wider staff spacing, and minimal dynamics and articulations, producing a concise, clean copy.  Additional note names are added to some of the very high, less familiar notes.  Although arranged for low vision musicians, this edition will benefit anyone who prefers LARGE PRINT FORMAT sheeet music. This piece is an original composition that was written for the Brass Ensemble in the school. The world premiere of the song occurred on Tuesday, January the 7th. As such, I am distributing this work so that any ensemble, for school or otherwise, can perform it! The piece is roughly three and a half minutes long. However, it can be found challenging at times. Nevertheless, it is a fun piece to perform anywhere and is an excellent form of repertoire for brass players looking for something to engage with their performing groups.
