Concert Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1350276 By Yvonne Elliman. By Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb, and Robin Gibb. Arranged by John Ivor Holland. 20th Century,Broadway,Disco,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Rock. 54 pages. John Ivor Holland #935065. Published by John Ivor Holland (A0.1350276). If I Can't Have You is a classic disco song written by the Bee Gees in 1977; it initially appeared on the multi-platinum 'Saturday Night Fever' soundtrack in a version by Yvonne Elliman, released in November that year. The Bee Gees' own version appeared a month later as the B-side of Stayin' Alive. Elliman was originally going to perform How Deep Is Your Love, as she was known as a ballad singer, but the Bee Gees' manager, Robin Stigwood, decided to swap things around. Stigwood's decision proved a success as the soundtrack's first single, the Bee Gees' version of How Deep Is Your Love, shot to number one, followed to the top spot by the soundtrack's second and third singles, also by the Gibb brothers, Stayin' Alive and Night Fever. Elliman's If I Can't Have You, produced by disco pioneer Freddie Perren, was released as the fourth single off the 'Saturday Night Fever' album in February 1978. The song was covered by 80's star Kim Wilde in 1993 and charted well in several countries, along with a later version by Jess Glynne in 2016.

Instrumental Duet,Piano Euphonium,Instrumental Duet,Piano,Trombone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.955748 By Stevie Wonder. By Stevie Wonder. Arranged by Phil Thrift. Pop,Soul. Score and parts. 11 pages. Phil Thrift #6683973. Published by Phil Thrift (A0.955748). You and I, by Stevie Wonder, works superbly for bass trombone when played in the same key as the version sung by bass-baritone Thomas Quasthoff (on The Jazz Album), which is the key of this arrangement. However, there is still plenty of scope here for your own interpretation of this number. In my recording (go to SoundCloud to hear it), the keyboard keeps strict time (apart from at the end), but you may prefer to have you accompanist follow your phrasing. The piece can be shortened by omitting one verse (as in the version by Michael Bublé).This arrangement is also ideal for euphonium (treble clef part also included). It can even be played on tenor trombone (F valve not essential), bassoon, cello or bass clarinet, but then you might need to work harder to get that bass-baritone sound.Go to SoundCloud to hear a full length recording of this piece: https://soundcloud.com/user-44111437/you-and-i

Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1025679 By Various Artists. By John Lewis Shumann. Arranged by Brett A Foster (BF Music). Contemporary. Score and parts. 123 pages. Brett A Foster #6474837. Published by Brett A Foster (A0.1025679). I Was Only Nineteen, I Was Only 19 or A Walk in the Light Green is the most widely recognised song by Australian folk group Redgum. The song was released in March 1983 as a single, which hit number one for two weeks. This version has been created for Full Orchestra (with optional TTB choral parts). The piece should be easily playable by Intermediate level Full Orchestra. There are optional parts for English Horn, Clarinet 3, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone & Contra Bassoon. The piano part is important for the core rhythms section, as is the guitar. The Violin 1 parts does go into third position towards the end, but all other string parts stay in first position. The song itself is a first-person account of a typical Australian soldier's experience in the Vietnam War, from training at a military academy in Australia to first hand exposure to military operations and combat, and ultimately his return home disillusioned and suffering from both PTSD and, it is implied, the harmful effects of Agent Orange. This piece would work well at any ANZAC Day or Memorial Day event for the Armed services.

Soprano Saxophone Duet Soprano Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1040834 By Brian Buda. By John Calkin. Arranged by Brian Buda. Christmas,Contest,Festival,Holiday,Sacred,Traditional. Score. 12 pages. Budaful music #645603. Published by budaful music (A0.1040834). This arrangement of the classic carol 'I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day' (WALTHAM) is a great addition to a holiday themed school program, church service, and Christmas contests and recitals. As with any song, the lyrics are very important, even when performed instrumentally as in this case. The emotions of the poem are imitated in the music. Encourage listeners to follow along by printing/displaying Henry W. Longfellow's well loved text: I heard the bells on Christmas day Their old familiar carols play, And wild and sweet the words repeat Of peace on earth, good will to men. This arrangement functions very well for both a moderately advanced solo soprano sax and sax duet. The duet part is more intermediate, making it a great option for an intermediate level student, or a less experienced player. While the duet part has been written for its corresponding solo instrument, the duet part can be purchased for other instruments as well. Separate duet parts available for: Flute, Oboe, Soprano sax, Clarinet in Bb, Alto Sax, Horn in F, Trumpet in Bb, Trombone, Baritone (T.C.), Violin, Viola, and Cello. Search for this arrangement and its 'supplemental' parts. .

At the end of the long recording session, Crosby decided to sing only a single chorus of the song in the middle of an orchestral version instead of the full ballad treatment used in the film. This led to a long argument between the singer and producer Jack Kapp. Eventually Crosby prevailed.
