Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.747198 Composed by Christopher R. Brown. Christian,Gospel,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 77 pages. Christopher Brown #4628085. Published by Christopher Brown (A0.747198). About the song: In John 14, Jesus says, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. We are severely mistaken if we think that any other road leads to peace with God. No amount of good deeds could pay for the debt we owe. But we are also mistaken if we think that we are too far gone from Christ's reach. This song is a message for both the self-righteous and the hopeless. There is a Way that leads to life forevermore with our Heavenly Father, and His Name is Jesus Christ. All who enter through the gate of Christ by faith will be saved. He came that you might have life, and have it to the full. Rejoice! If you can believe, believe! Can be performed with piano accompaniment only, OR with additional band members (rhythm chart included), OR with full orchestra. Please Note:You can purchase individual copies of the choral score separately on Sheet Music Plus. Solo Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1167528 Composed by Larry Williams. Contemporary,Folk,Jazz. Individual part. 80 pages. Larry Andrew Williams #767908. Published by Larry Andrew Williams (A0.1167528). A WORD FROM THE COMPOSER Is anyone interested in new reading material anymore? I know that when I was a kid in nineteen hundred and something, the quest for new musical pieces was always one of the funnest aspects of the whole musical journey. Of course I did learn that it would take a long time to  nd those few that would resonate with me for a lifetime, but it was always fun trying them all out. It still is, in fact. Well, times change and people change, but I’d still like to believe that same factor carries on. You know, the one about trying out all that music to get to the few you keep. And what about the few we do keep? For guitar players, was it always a classic from the usual suspects, like Albeniz, Sor, Tarrega,, Granados, Rodrigo, Brouwer, Barrios, Villa-Lobos, or anything by Bach? Was it something our band director or private instructor, one of our friends, or our parents wrote? Or – Heaven forbid- something that maybe we ourselves wrote? Or some “unknown guy.â€Â Consider this.Just how often did some unknown composer's piece greatly affect us as we waded through a daunting pile of the familiar from the known masters? And since some, if not most of these classics are required reading, how often did we even get around to giving this unknown guy's piece a try?And furthermore, was this unknown guy - shudder...alive? Let’s face it. In the composer arena, we the living, stand no chance against the deceased (God rest their souls) But by saying “they don’t write ‘em like that anymore,†are we denying ourselves new ground to be broken, doors to be opened, frontiers to be discovered? And isn’t that pioneering spirit just plain ol’ curiosity when it comes right down to it? Well I believe the key lies within the carrying out of these notions that curiosity places in us. It’s climbing the mountain simply because it is there. So, for right now, I’m that unknown guy and I would only urge you to break new ground every day. Lots of trends, ideas, and interests will come and go in your life, but always hang on to that curiosity. It’s what makes the world a smaller neighborhood. Larry Williams.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1224471 Composed by W.C. Handy. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Blues,Film/TV,Jazz,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. Score. 8 pages. Timothy Stapay #820575. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1224471). This arrangement of St. Louis Blues is written as performed by piano artist, Liberace.  He performed this on his t.v. show and record albums.  The Saint Louis Blues (or St. Louis Blues) is a popular American song composed by W. C. Handy in the blues style and published in September 1914. It was one of the first blues songs to succeed as a pop song and remains a fundamental part of jazz musicians' repertoire. Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Bing Crosby, Bessie Smith, Eartha Kitt, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Guy Lombardo, Liberace, and the Boston Pops Orchestra (under the directions of both Arthur Fiedler and Keith Lockhart) are among the artists who have recorded it. Lyrics:I hate to see that evening sun go down, I hate to see that evening sun go down, 'Cause my lovin' baby done left this town. If I feel tomorrow, like I feel today, If I feel tomorrow, like I feel today, I'm gonna pack my trunk and make my getaway. Oh, that St. Louis woman, with her diamond rings, She pulls my man around by her apron strings. And if it wasn't for powder and her store-bought hair, Oh, that man of mine wouldn't go nowhere. I got those St. Louis blues, just as blue as I can be, Oh, my man's got a heart like a rock cast in the sea, Or else he wouldn't have gone so far from me. I love my man like a schoolboy loves his pie, Like a Kentucky colonel loves his rocker and rye I'll love my man until the day I die, Lord, Lord. I got the St. Louis blues, just as blue as I can be, Lord, Lord! That man's got a heart like a rock cast in the sea, Or else he wouldn't have gone so far from me. I got those St. Louis blues, I got the blues, I got the blues, I got the blues, My man's got a heart like a rock cast in the sea, Or else he wouldn't have gone so far from me, Lord, Lord!Władziu Valentino Liberace (May 16, 1919 – February 4, 1987) was an American pianist, singer, and actor.  A child prodigy born in Wisconsin to parents of Italian and Polish origin, he enjoyed a career spanning four decades of concerts, recordings, television, motion pictures, and endorsements. At the height of his fame from the 1950s to 1970s, he was the highest-paid entertainer in the world!

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.869207 Composed by Thomas Oboe Lee. 20th Century,Baroque,Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score and parts. With Summer: Cloudburst! Double rainbow … Trio 3). 48 pages. Thomas Oboe Lee #3905. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.869207). Program note: As indicated by the title, this is my twelfth string quartet. My very first work, Aperture (1974), was a string quartet. In between I wrote four (nos. 2 – 5) for the Kronos Quartet, one (no. 6) for the Manhattan String Quartet, one (no. 7) for the Lydian String Quartet, one (no. 8) for the Artaria String Quartet, two (nos. 9 - 10) for the Hawthorne String Quartet, and one (no. 11) for the Formosa Quartet. The number twelve immediately brought to mind the months of the year. But I thought a twelve-movement string quartet might be a bit excessive, and difficult to achieve in a coherent narrative arc. Most classical string quartets by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven are in four movements. So why not the seasons, a movement for each: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. I am a huge fan of The Creation by Franz Joseph Haydn. Confession: I am a huge fan of anything by maestro Haydn. For inspiration and guidance, I went to Haydn’s other oratorio The Seasons. Armed with a Dover publication of the full score and a recording of the complete work by Sir Thomas Beecham on EMI Classics, I got down to work over the summer of 2010. String Quartet No. 12 … The Seasons, after Franz Joseph Haydn is in four movements, played without pause between movements. 1) Intro: Heavy snow … Spring: Crocuses blooming!!! 2) Summer: Cloudburst! Double rainbow … Trio 3) Autumn: La Caccia … Danza Rusticana … Trio 4) Intro: Heavy snow again … Winter: O Magnum Mysterium … Hail storm! The work begins with four descending chords, depicting the falling of snow. But it’s Spring and crocuses are seen peeping through the snow … Summer begins with cloudbursts, thunder, lightning and torrential rain. A double rainbow appears after the storm. The sun emerges from the clouds in the Trio section. It is a lovely day after all; but then the clouds return … La Caccia: men go hunting in the Autumn. Well, the men in Haydn’s days at least. Peasant ladies dance as they harvest in the fields. A hawk appears, soaring overhead in the Trio as the sun sets in an orange-red sky ... In Winter snow falls again; but it’s the season to celebrate the Nativity. Violin and viola chant O magnum mysterium … O Magnum Mysterium O great mystery Et admirabile sacramentum and wonderful sacrament Ut animalia viderent Dominum natum that animals should see the new-born Lord Jacentem in praesepio! lying in a manger! Beata Virgo, cujus viscera Blessed is the Virgin whose womb Meruerunt portare was worthy to bear Dominum Christum. Christ the Lord. Alleluia. Alleluia. A hailstorm wreaks havoc. Fine. Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596575 Composed by Juan María Solare. 20th Century,Jazz,World. Score and parts. 12 pages. Juan Maria Solare #4794271. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596575). About the title: - First of all, entradora is an adjective that can be applied to a femenine noun. (In Spanish you have different declinations for masculine and femenine adjectives). The masculine version is entrador.   - Second, entradora can be understood in this context as a substantivized adjective, i.e. a word that is actually an adjective, but is used as if it were a noun, like if I say Now I will play 'Entradora'. (for a more scientific explanation check yor favorite English grammar book).   - Third, entradora is a wink to Argentine composer Julián Plaza, who used adjectives as one-word title of several of his milongas and tangos, for instance Nocturna, Danzarín, Melancólico, Melancólica, Sensiblero, Nostálgico, Disonante, Dominguera, Expresivo, Futura, Instrumental, Juguetón, Paseandera, Payadora, Solemne, Temperamental - and possibly others that I am not aware of.   - And fourth, the meaning of the word entradora in the coloquial Spanish of Argentina is this one: if applied to a person, is someone that easily makes friends, that wins the trust of the people very easily, who is very charming. I applied to an object (or to a melody) it means that it is easy to grasp, that you remember it immediately (as an earworm), that is accessible and uncomplicated.   - Oh, there is a fifth point: are you native (or good) English speaker? After all this explanation do you come to an understandable translation of this word, Entradora? If yes, let me know! The milonga Entradora was composed in Bremen, Germany, from 10 to 13 November 2018. Duration: around 2'15. Premiere by Juan María Solare on 8 January 2019 at the theatre of the university of Bremen (recital Neue -und alte- Innigkeit, New -and old- intimism). Second version: for 8 instruments. Premiere: Orquesta No Típica, 22 January 2019, theatre of the university of Bremen. Third version: for piano four hands. Bremen, 16 January 2019. Premiere: Selma Hande Gade and Juan María Solare, Bellapais Spring Music Festival, Kyrenia, Cyprus, 16 April 2019.  Video by the composer in his private Studiohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f89TCd3di8  Entradora is dedicated to Gudrun Zelle.

Small Ensemble Contrabassoon - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1026220 Composed by Frederic Chopin. Arranged by Gillian Horn. Romantic Period,World. Score and parts. 19 pages. G. Horn #5997939. Published by G. Horn (A0.1026220). Chopin, Prelude in Db major Raindrop Op. 28, no. 15arr. for five bassoons and contrabassoon by Gillian HornKnown as the Raindrop prelude, this is one of the 24 Chopin preludes composed in 1838. Originally for solo piano, this prelude is the longest of the set and is noted for its repeating Aâ™, which appears throughout the piece and sounds like raindrops to many listeners. After a tranquil opening in Db major, we transition into the C# minor middle section where the music intensifies as we pass from dream to nightmare (this is where we feature the rich low tones of the contrabassoon). The nightmare dispels as suddenly as it arrived, and we return back to peace and harmony once more.I get much joy from writing arrangements of great works that we wind players don't always get to perform. I hope you enjoy my brand new arrangement for five bassoons and contrabassoon!Duration approx. 5 minutes

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596548 Composed by Juan María Solare. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary. Score and parts. 8 pages. Juan Maria Solare #4405060. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596548). Conjeturas sistemáticas (Systematic conjectures)  for piano four hands A piece composed in Bremen (North Germany) between 8th and 10th March 2013, about 4 minutes long, and dedicated to Mario García Acevedo in memoriam (who died on March 6, 2013 in Buenos Aires). The title alludes to a phrase that Mario García Acevedo said en passant during a lecture in SADAIC remembering the twentieth anniversary of the death of Rodolfo Caracciolo: True science is a set of systematic and ordered suspicions. I altered this thought slightly, because systematic suspicions seemed to me a more suitable title for a detective novel. Musically speaking, this piece uses modulating pandiatonism, a technique that I used in several other pieces as well.  Mario García Acevedo was one of those few people who can be said to have been wise in the most complete and overwhelming sense of the word. He was one of my teachers at the (ex) National Conservatory of Music, I no longer remember teacher of what, because he was the kind of person who was an integral teacher, not of this or that. I had the pleasure of performing the European premiere of his work Amanecer in Bremen in 2008. Marito delivered a speech during the burial of Juan Carlos Zorzi, ending with the words Maestro: Until the Resurrection! Let his words be also valid for him. Juan María Solare

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.745312 Composed by P. I. Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Diego Marani. Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and parts. 23 pages. Diego Marani #353325. Published by Diego Marani (A0.745312). Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings in C Major was written with an ear towards one of his idols, a certain 18th century composer by the name of Mozart. The title and structure of the piece are taken from the serenades of the latter, though this is certainly Tchaikovsky's own particularly 19th century rendering of these older ideas. That it is a masterful work, is demonstrated by the fact that it still remains among the most performed and appreciated by the public alongside the serenades by Antonín Dvořák and Josef Suk. Cast in a classical four movement outlay, the work begins with a sonata form movement (Tchaikovsky calls it a sonatina, i.e. little sonata, though it is a rather robust form, replete with a slow introduction and full development). This arrangement for string quartet (Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Cello) reflects faithfully the original and is suitable for classroom, repertoire and recital.

Brass Ensemble,Trombone Trio Trombone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811132 Composed by Brian Pappal. Contemporary. Score and parts. 13 pages. Gordon Cherry #5316249. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.811132). Here is a description of the work IN MEMORIAM by composer Brian Pappal. In Memoriam: A Chorale After Bruckner was composed in memory of Murray Crewe, former Bass Trombonist with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Murray was my private trombone teacher at Duquesne University where he maintained a large studio of private trombone students and directed the trombone choir. During my lessons with him and in trombone choir rehearsals, Murray was contagiously positive and encouraging with a sense of humor all his own. He was also an artist of immense depth and sensitivity who daily sought to create and encounter moments of beauty in the world. Some of my greatest musical memories of Murray are of his leading the trombone choir in playing transcriptions of Brucknerâ??s choral motets. There are obvious parallels between the voice and the trombone, and Murrayâ??s artistry combined with Brucknerâ??s profound compositions created a deeply moving experience for me as a young musician. I wrote this piece with those memories in my mind. The sonorities are intentionally vocal, and performance of the piece should be approached in a similarly sustained and expressive style. The first trombone part remains rather high without rest; it may be played by either a tenor or alto trombone depending on player preference.
