I had a special request to play this tune for a 2022 St. Patrick's celebration, which prompted me to write this arrangement.I've scored and recorded this tune for tenor recorder and violin, with each instrument getting a chance to play the melody line. I've added double stops in the violin part for a fuller, more energetic sound.This duo can also be played on flute and violin, on soprano recorder (an octave higher than tenor recorder) and violin, or on penny whistle and violin. Repeat as often as you like; this tune has lots of verses!

The song became better known as The Postman Song instead of the more common title Because I Love You. This arrangement is in a key that works better instrumentally.
