This piece definitely has a more sinister feel to it compared to the other pieces from the album, I think that’s just how it started out when I was writing this piece - the title came later. When writing this piece, I wanted to write something mysterious with more of a focus on the ambient side of things rather than the melody. Of course, this piece still has a melody but I don’t think that is the focus of this piece, it’s all about the mood and atmosphere. The beginning of the piece does have a melodic motif which is used throughout the composition and there is also the left hand ostinato that is given to the right hand toward the end of the piece too. Harmonically, this piece doesn’t stick to functional harmony which is another reason why this piece tends to feel more mysterious and ambient.

What happened when I discovered and developed a hyperfixation on an emo Christmas song in the middle of May during the pandemic's lockdown in 2020? I made sheet music of it, of course. And listened to the song for hours. This is an instrumental version of Christmas Drag, originally written by Dallon Weekes when he was still part of the band called The Brobecks. The purpose of this sheet music is to serve as the background music for a voice who will then perform the singing part. This does not contain the solo melody of the song, however, I will be adding the melody on a separate file and make sure to keep my followers updated. There are multiple versions of this song, but the one which inspired me to make sheet music was the version by Dallon from 2019 when the duo idkHOW performed it.

The chromaticism of the piece called for some tricky lever solutions but I managed to create an arrangement that has no lever changes. Your harp needs to be tuned in 3 flats and have all the levers. I don't recommend trying this version on pedal harp. I've included a page of rhythm exercises to help with some of the interesting rhythmic figures in the piece. My biggest recommendation is that you listen to the recording a lot!This piece is fun and relaxing to play and would make wonderful background music for any low-key event: a cocktail hour, a slow exercise class, getting ready for a wedding, etc.

This intermediate level piano solo can be practiced at a much slower pace than 104 bpm, but it will be fun working your way up to that speed (or faster) for performance. In the Appalachian style of a dulcimer drone, the bass employs a lot of fifths and repeated chords.Key of F with no key changes, four pages, performance time of approximately 2:15 minutes. .
