SATB Chorus & Piano - Digital Download SKU: IZ.VMW237 Composed by John Schimminger. Octavo. 13 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #VMW237. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.VMW237). 8.5 x 11 inches.A setting for SATB choir of a text by contemporary hymnist Janine Applegate.Put down your nets and follow me, The Loving Master said; And so they followed, willingly, Not knowing where he led. We too are called from our concerns To follow our Lord's way. By trusting him, the heart soon learns To cast off yesterday. Do not be tempted by the cares Of long deluded dreams; Temptation's path is wrought with snares And never as it seems. The phantom riches we pursue Are never ours to gain. They fade before our eyes Like dew after a morning rain. Put down your nets and follow me, The Loving Master pleads; O may we follow faithfully, Well knowing where he leads.

Tuba & piano - Digital Download SKU: IZ.IMF1716 Composed by Daniel Baldwin. Score and Parts. 18 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #IMF1716. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.IMF1716). 9 x 12 in inches. As an alumnus of Kansas State University, I have built relationships with a number of the faculty to include the wonderfulhusband and wife team of Steve (tuba) and Susan (bassoon) Maxwell. They approached me in the fall of 2015 about writinga work that would work as both a solo work for tuba as well as bassoon. Considering I had never written a work for solo tuba,I decided to write a concert piece for tuba and piano, after which I created the version for bassoon and piano. Though writteninmystyle, it is modeled after the 19th century French/Paris Conservatory tradition.

Clarinet & string quartet - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CMF183 Composed by Samuel Livingston. Score and Parts. 88 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CMF183. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CMF183). 9 x 12 in inches. The clarinet is my instrument, and I think the two greatest works in its repertory (and two of the greatest of all chamber works) are the quintets for clarinet and strings by Mozart and Brahms. In writing for this combination of instruments, I borrowed ideas shamelessly from both.I would describe the style as folk-inspired classical chamber music. The melodies are song-like or dance-like; the harmonies are simple, modal, and consonant. The time signatures of the three movements are 7/8, 5/4, 7/8 - unusual in classical music but common in the folk music of some eastern European countries. The texture is homophonic in some places and contrapuntal in others, always with at least one melody, often with more than one. The clarinet is not treated as a solo instrument but is integrated into the ensemble. The first movement is in sonata form. As in the Mozart and Brahms quintets, it begins in the strings, with the clarinet entering a few bars later on a rising arpeggio. The first theme is song-like; the second theme is dance like. The movement ends quietly on a phrase from the second theme. The form of the second movement begins with a song for the cello, repeated in the clarinet. The next section features a dance-like melody in the second violin, repeated in the clarinet with a descant in the first violin. Then a brief section in the minor, featuring the viola, leads to a repetition of the song that opened the movement, this time in the viola, repeated in the violins and the clarinet. The third movement is a set of variations on a brisk, dance-like theme. After several variations, including two in the minor mode, the tempo slows to adagio for the next-to-last variation (as in the last movement of the Mozart quintet). That variation features a duet for the first violin and the clarinet (as in the slow movement ofthe Brahms quintet). The final variation returns to the brisk tempo and brings back the melodic figure that ends the first movement. A brief coda on this melodic figure concludes the piece.

Concert Band & optional SATB Choir - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CBW2210 Composed by Michael Francis Smith. Score and Parts. 58 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CBW2210. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CBW2210). 6.75 x 10.5 inches. Some years back, during a series of retreats, prayerful reflection on the “servantpassages from the book of the prophet Isaiah (Is. 40-53) coalesced into what wouldbecome an eight-movement cantata entitled: The Servant of Yahweh.“How Beautiful on the Mountain represents movement three of that larger work - aLenten cantata highlighting key aspects of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, viewed through the lens of the aforementioned servant passages.“How Beautiful on the Mountain (from Is.52 ff) attempts to capture in two sections thejoyful vision of God's people being led back to Zion from exile in Babylon. Israel'sdeliverer is near, proclaiming peace, bearing good news, announcing salvation, leadingIsrael back to Jerusalem. The New Testament likewise speaks of deliverance frombondage – bondage from sin, and healing of the breach between God and humanity. It isthrough the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus that this deliverance isaccomplished. In both cases, there is cause for great joy.Musically, movement from the more subdued preface (part 1) to the festive Latin groove(part 2) conveys the transition from journey to jubilation. The present rendition, written for SATB choir and piano with optional flute and oboemarks the latest evolution in the work's arrangement history. The originalaccompaniment included guitar, bass, drum, flute and electric violin. However, in 2009,through a collaboration with bassist/arranger, Perry Orfanella, a full orchestral score wasdeveloped. Most recently, in order to make the piece more accessible to church choirsand other choral groups, Phil Sims (musician/arranger and partner of Imagine MusicPublishing) reduced the orchestral score and completed the present arrangement forpiano and SATB choir.

Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CBW142A-S). 9 x 12 in inches.CRANK IT UP! was written for my band students with the purpose of providing them with an enjoyable song to play. The challenge that I have observed with my students is keeping the tempo throughout the entire song especially from measures (25-32). The bass drum part helps to keep , cranked up.It is my hope that CRANK IT UP! will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate and encourage their students.CRANK IT UP! is dedicated tomynephew, Caleb Dorsey.

SATB chorus & piano - Grade 3 - Digital Download SKU: IZ.VMW171 Composed by Angela Salvaggione. Score. 11 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #VMW171. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.VMW171). 8.5 x 11 in inches.Musically, the text gives indication as to the style of each verse. The first verse's gentle, flowing feel is the comfort of knowing we've been walking a path together. The second verse, a bit stronger, with the full choir entering, builds this comfort and joy of common experience. The third verse, with its darker text, should also have a more misterioso feel, but don't let it drag. Our parting is approaching. The fourth verse should have a lighter, more sparkling feel, with streams and snowflakes and growing understanding that though what may seem final is not, merely a new way of being. The resoluteness of the fifth verse reflects the strength of knowing that the path we have shared together regardless of our proximity, and gives us strength and joy in knowing that our lives are bettered by our shared experiences. The coda, beginning in measure 95, brings us back to a more settled feel, as we are comforted by the memory of those shared experiences. By the final bars, we arrive at a restful state, comfortable knowing that though time has passed and circumstances have changed, we have been blessed by what we've experienced together.

String quartet - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CMF185 Composed by Brian Katona. Score and Parts. 46 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CMF185. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CMF185). 9 x 12 in inches. This string suite has taken on many forms and performances over the years, but the first two movements were written for our wedding in 2005. Since then, it has been performed by a variety of string quartets and string orchestras throughout the country. The third movement was added some years later as a fun and energetic end to the suite. The melodies are tuneful and the technical demands are minimal making this a great piece of any string ensemble.
