Connie Boss #955062. Published by Connie Boss (A0.1370726). This song is great for Lent, Palm Sunday and especially Good Friday. I have added an interesting intro. There are lots of lyrics out there, but I used the ones by Alexander and then changed some of the lyrics and added verse 2. Questions or requests, email cdboss@cvalley.netLyrics:O Sacred HeadA crown of thornsPlaced on Your HeadNow woundedO sacred Head, now wounded, with grief and shame weighed down, now scornfully surroundedwith thorns, Your only crown;O Jesus Christ, how painfulthe thorns that pierce your headyour face is filled with sorrowas you soon face your deathO sacred Head, now woundedThey stripped you of your clothesCast lots to claim their prizesThey put you on a showYou carried the cross of burdensOf all who lived in sinYou died to save their sorrowsTheir new life would beginBe Thou my consolation,my shield when I must die;remind me of Your passionwhen my last hour draws nigh.Mine eyes shall then behold you,the cross at calvaryyou hung there for our sorrowsyou gave your life for me.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.912497 Composed by Thomas R. Schadl. Concert,Contemporary,Instructional,Standards. Score. 9 pages. Thomas R. Schadl #3916053. Published by Thomas R. Schadl (A0.912497). Toccata In B Flat Minor, by Thomas R. Schadl, explores rhythmic energy and lyricism. The exposition (bars 1-18) consists of the static rhythm, where the the first beat is accented. The melodic part of the exposition is lyrical and has syncopation that provide contrast to the driving rhythm. The transition exists from bar 19 to 56, but unlike the traditional sonata form where the transition moves on to the second theme in the exposition, the main theme re-appears briefly from bar 57 to 64 and then it moves on to the second theme (bars 65-100). Sonata form includes the development section that involves the  working of a theme or themes that were stated in the exposition, but this work does not have a development part; so in its place is the transition that spans from bar 101 to 114, leading to the recapitulation (restatement of the first theme in the exposition). Following the restatement, the second theme comes in at bars 133 to 140 and is restated at bars 157 to 176; transition is inserted at bars 141 to 156. As the piece progresses toward the end, the fragmented portion of the second theme repeats with diminishing sound intensity, followed by a brief transition stated in the first few bars after measure 19. The piece ends with a loud B Flat, after a one bar rest. Anyone planning to analyse this composition will come to realize that since the development section does not exist, one may conclude that the work is composed in a modified sonata form. Toccata In B Flat Minor requires steady rhythmic sense, quick left-hand jump between bass notes to eighth-note passages in the second theme, and a good sense of rhythm when executing four eighth notes against triplets. Slow practice speed is advised in order to master the technical challenges. The piece is suitable for education and concert purposes, and may be performed in silent movies or stage shows.

Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.1069957 Composed by Steven H. Boothe. Arranged by Ashley Ivers. Pop. Accompaniment. Duration 230. Boothe Publishing #4633659. Published by Boothe Publishing (A0.1069957). After our first child arrived I realized that I wasn't free any longer. My mind returned to the good old days when I was free to daydream and do whatever it was that I wanted to do. When I was younger I had wanted to grow up to be a bird, a frog, an ant or a baby bee, but I had grown up to be a man, and now I had a wife and a baby son. Things were not the way I had imagined they would be. Now I had to go to work every day to pay the bills, and I didn't even like my job. It felt like I was bound in chains that were unbreakable. There seemed to be no way out, but there was a way out. All I had to do was accept that life had changed, that I had changed, and I needed to make the best of it. After making that decision life got better and better. I realized that the true plan for life was to create our own homes and families, and that sooner or later we will all return to our heavenly home. I love being home, and at the homes of my siblings, friends, and parents. Home is not really a physical place so much as it is where we are surrounded by people who love us. For me, being home is being where I am loved and accepted.

French Horn,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767581 Composed by Mike Lyons. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Standards. Score and part. 38 pages. Lyons Music Services #6457097. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767581). This is my third new sonata for French horn. it has three movements as follows:   Movement 1: Dance It begins with a crotchet theme which forms the basis of the rest of the movement. The opening should be stately and measured, but not slow. The echoes should be as quiet as possible for each statement of the opening motif. I have made a lot of use of rhythmic features in this movement. After the Maestoso, the 12/8 section is in the nature of a jig, with lots of repeated pitches and very rhythmical There's much use of syncopation. After I have played around with these ideas (intervals based on the opening) there is a more legato tune, also based on the opening music, but in a grander style and marked nobilmente. This is almost a processional, and leads to a reprise of the jig motifs in a new mode and with modifications to the rhythm. The second movement of this sonata is a set of 3 variations on an original tune. The melody is quite hymn-like and needs to be played as such. Very legato, with very slight tongue. Variation 1 is an 8th note variation, with a slight increase in tempo to help it to flow. The player will need to pay close attention to the written phrasing so as not to lose the theme. This variation is p throughout. Variation 2 is a triplet/sextuplet variation, again with a slight increase in tempo. This variation has turns, which I have written out in ossias above to be clear how I would like it to be played. Variation 3 is a semiquaver and glissando variation, requiring good tongue technique and clear phrasing. Breathing should be easy as I have made provision for breaths to mark the ends of phrases. Please don't change these! Finally, there is a restatement of the original theme with slight adaptations to bring the movement to a quiet finish. The third and final movement of the sonata is a rondo. The opening music keeps returning throughout the length of the movement. It comprises a stuttering rhythmic phrase with alternating upwards and downwards scales which gradually build up throughout the opening of the movement. Each time the ritornello idea returns it has been altered in some way. Between the ritornelli are slightly less frenetic sections of cantabile melodic ideas which hark back to both the first and second movements as well as referencing the scalic ideas from the third movement. Although the music is fast, it should be playable without resorting to triple tonguing.

Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.1069678 Composed by Gary Noland. 20th Century,Contemporary,Graduation,Wedding. Full Performance. Duration 554. Freeland Publications #3242003. Published by Freeland Publications (A0.1069678). Duration: 9'21 (2004). A waltz (more or less). Echoes of Chopin, Schubert, Strauss and others. This is an unscored comprovisation (i.e., combination improvisation/composition) which manages to remain motivically unified throughout, in spite of the fact that its structure (and other musical elements) are extemporized. Many of the melodic and contrapuntal details are afterthoughts. I have not encountered any other composers who have conceived of anything quite like this. Comprovisations of this kind offer the best of both musical worlds-the spontaneity of improvisation coupled with the methodical rigor of composition. This is an eminently choreographable work. Good for any festive occasion.
