Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1211156 Composed by Laurent Lemmens. Classical,Contemporary,Spiritual. Octavo. 15 pages. Laurent Lemmens #808855. Published by Laurent Lemmens (A0.1211156). Are you looking for a stunning choral piece for your choir's next performance? Add a touch of symbolism to your choir's repertoire with this work for SATB with piano accompaniment. The lyrics of the short poem (see below) tell a bystander's perspective of a prince (the chosen one) on a quest to answer the call of his bride (the Holy Grail). The choral work is structured exactly like the literary monomyth, which allows the music to guide the audience on a transformative journey alongside the hero. Not only does this piece have a spiritual message, it also showcases the beauty of SATB harmonies in its tonal-functional approach to expressing the never-ending, yet fulfilling, search for the Holy Grail. The harmonic adventure moves smoothly across the circle of fifths, with each of the 9 plagal modulations renewing a sense of wonder and excitement. So if you're ready to take your audience on a journey through the literary and musical realms, this choral piece is a must-have for your repertoire. She calls from far and wide, wherever you go she shines, deep in the woods she hides, the maiden bride you’ll never find, her call you must abide.O chosen Prince, you blissful blind, chase trials and her golden light, and seek the Grail with all your might.Do not despair in struggling fight, eternal joy awaits despite. If you're interested in a peak behind the scenes of the composing of this work, take a look on the composer's website. Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.868920 Composed by Lev PULVER (1883 – 1970). Arranged by Sergei PICHUGIN. 20th Century,Musical/Show,World. Score and parts. 36 pages. Really Good Music, LLC. #4837467. Published by Really Good Music, LLC. (A0.868920). The last project of Solomon Mikhoels in the Moscow State Yiddish Theater (GOSET) was David Bergelson’s play Prince Reubeni (1947). Lev PULVER (1883 – 1970) composed music for the production, and it can be said that its quality perfectly corresponded to the grandeur of the performance as envisioned by Mikhoels. Since the work on the project has been stopped by the death of Mikhoels, the music for Prince Reubeni was preserved only as piano scores. Sergei PICHUGIN includes into this publication his own orchestral versions of two musical episodes of the play: Storm on the Sea and Dance of Dina.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1319814 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Celtic,Folk,Historic,Irish. 10 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #908371. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.1319814). This is one of the most well-known of all British folksongs and refers to real historical events. It has been used in film and television programs and known to almost everyone in Britain. Skye (also known as “The Isle of Skyeâ€) is the largest island of the Inner Hebrides. With an area of about 640 square miles, the island is about sixty miles long and lies close to the Scottish mainland.  The boat in the song (“Speed bonny boatâ€) refers to a small sailing ship that in 1746 “carried the lad who was born to be king†to the Isle of Skye. The lad in question was Prince Charles Edward Stuart known affectionately as “Bonnie Prince Charlie.†The song also refers to the Battle of Culloden of April 1746, the last ever battle on British soil, fought between the British Army and the army of Bonnie Prince Charlie.  In June 1746 and disguised as a maid-servant, Charles was secretly transported from the Hebridean island of Benbecula to the more southerly Isle of Skye. This is the event to which the song refers. The Skye Boat Song has its roots in a traditional Gaelic melody. The lyrics in this arrangement are the familiar ones written in the 1870s by Sir Harold Edwin Boulton. This is an easy SATB arrangement, with all vocal parts well within range and difficult leaps avoided. There are no divisi sections or solos, though can obviously create solos if you want. The keyboard part also avoids technical hurdles. Your singers will surely enjoy this joyful melody, with its contrasting verse and attractive counter-melodies. Vocal ranges are Soprano: D4 – D5; Alto: A3 (only once) – B4; Tenor: D3–D4; Bass: G2-B3.
