Choral Choir,Choral (SATB divisi) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1309630 Composed by Jonathan Bush. Arranged by Matthew Udland. A Cappella,Barbershop,Children,Comedy,Film/TV. 2 pages. Midwest A Cappella #898797. Published by Midwest A Cappella (A0.1309630). I know what you are thinking... I need a super fun 30-second song to toss at my high school a cappella group or small ensemble that they can learn in a class period. LOOK NO FURTHER :)There is a baritone line written in if you have an abundance of basses, but if you don't just cut out the bari. Similarly, you don't NEED a vocal percussionist but I've separated the sounds out into two lines if you've got a young couple of beatboxers who want to practice a simple rhythmic pattern.Your audience will thank you :)... bonus points if you have your students play Musical Statues while singing!

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.835452 Composed by Stuart Brown. 20th Century,Contemporary,World. Octavo. 211 pages. Stuart Brown Music #5990681. Published by Stuart Brown Music (A0.835452). A fantastic offer price for the full score and all parts! ... Looking for something to add a sense of oriental exoticism to your amateur orchestral/choral concert? This may be what you're looking for! This charming little suite of six dances lasts about 15½ minutes. It consists of a Pavane, Bourée, Sarabande, Allemande, Basse Danse and Galliard, which vary widely in character. As a whole the suite provides some interesting challenges for both performers and listeners. Apart from conventional strings, flute and harp (which can be either pedal or lever) you will need:- One or maybe two Arabian ouds. The parts are playable also on a fretless acoustic guitar. (Needs to be fretless because of the quarter-tones in some of the Arabic modes used.)- A cimbalom (the part can be played on a piano also, with slight modification). You might get away with using a hammered dulcimer but you'd need to make a number of compromises.- A doumbek and a djembe. These beautiful drums are a must for Middle-Eastern or African music. They're fairly easy to find, though finding somebody who can play them properly may take a bit more doing!- Finger cymbals and a gong. These are regular western instruments.- A wind-chime. Anything that produces a nice shimmering spangle of sound will probably do!- A group of singers (SATB). Nothing particularly challenging but see below. The primary oud part, the strings and the singers need to have sufficiently good intonation to pitch quarter tones. These are the exception rather than the rule, but nevertheless play an important part in the character of the music. Apart from this, the music is relatively straightforward and probably playable by any reasonably competent amateur or high school orchestra. In the spring of 2020 I wrote a set of short music tracks for a charity of which I'm a trustee. In order to protect my intellectual property rights in the music, I decided to bring it together into an attractive if not intellectually challenging little suite, hence An Omani Dance Suite. Originally the dances were all in Arabic quarter-tone temperament, but obviously quarter-tones cannot be played easily (if at all) on the flute, harp and cimbalom. So I have made some adjustments but retained the Arabic temperament wherever reasonably possible. I had thought initially of using a santur instead of a cimbalom, but the santur lacks the range and the dynamic capability to be used with a string chamber orchestra. The cimbalom doesn't need to be a concert grand model; in fact it doesn't even need to have dampers. The Omani was something of an afterthought: a musician friend of mine had worked in Oman and commented on how authentically Omani the Basse Danse sounded. The period of composition coincided with a time when I was really missing friends in Vietnam and Romania, so somehow influences from those countries found their way into the music.I'm not bothering with performing rights for this - just go away and enjoy the music! ... but if it inspires you find out more about the charity work that inspires me, feel free to get in touch!https://www.facebook.com/stuartbrownmusic/

Choral Choir (SAA) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1133340 By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Alexandra L. Uitdenbogerd. A Cappella,Multicultural,New Age,Pop,Singer/Songwriter,World. Octavo. 5 pages. Alexandra L. Uitdenbogerd #733473. Published by Alexandra L. Uitdenbogerd (A0.1133340). SAA arrangement of Across the Universe by the Beatles with melody shared by the upper two parts until the third verse, when the lowest part takes the melody with homophonic harmonies above it. Ranges Soprano: Middle C (C4) to D5 Alto 1: G3 to C5 Alto 2: G3 to A4 Program Notes Across the Universe was a song written by John Lennon and performed by the Beatles. Lennon turned a negative reaction to Cynthia Lennon’s chatter into an inspired, positive, transcendental meditation-influenced song. It was first released on a charity album and included female backing vocals and a children’s choir. A pared back version was then released on the Beatles Let It Be album. I was inspired by but too late for the Space and Time themed RMIT Music concert, which happened to be on John Lennon’s birthday, and arranged the song for SAA voices, with the melody in an alto-friendly key, matching the CORP attendees at the time. The melody is faithful to the original recording, adds an accompanying “wah-wah†in the second verse, suggestive of the trippy guitar effect, and reinstates the female backing vocals in the third verse.

E-Flat Tenor Horn,Instrumental Solo,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1416508 Composed by Greg Patmore. 21st Century,Classical. Score and individual part. 11 pages. Gregory Patmore #998187. Published by Gregory Patmore (A0.1416508). Inspired by the western islands and highlands of Scotland, this is a beautiful but challenging showpiece for Eb tenor horn (alto horn) and piano. Virtuosic, dramatic, evocative, lyrical, exciting for performers and rewarding for an attentive audience. A rhspdody in the form of a single movement which subdivides into an opening theme followed by three main sections, each derived from elements of the opening theme. First a leisurely dance with a scottish lilt, then a peaceful central section building to a dramatic peak and falling away, then into a virtuosic, eccentric finale. The whole piece is stylish, with intensity, but also lightness of touch and even a little humour!

Small Ensemble Flute,Harpsichord,Mandolin,Piano,Violin - Digital Download SKU: A0.1017681 Composed by Gordon Jackson. Celtic,Classical,Folk,Irish,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 6 pages. Gordon Jackson #6439147. Published by Gordon Jackson (A0.1017681). The Western HeightsThis is a little piece I composed without a specific form in mind. Although it’s in 3/4 it’s neither courante nor galliard, waltz nor minuet. It just is. Unusually for me, the chordal accompaniment is written for harpsichord (or any keyboard instrument), in order to get the full arpeggiation not possible on my octave mandola or bouzouki. The Western Heights, in Dover, used to be a really fun place to go; a barracks inter alia for a French invasion that never quite happened. Miles of tunnels built into a mountainside with rotten drawbridges, very steep stone staircases and plenty of rats. I used to climb inside and spend hours wandering around in the dark stumbling over debris, squeezing through narrow gaps, climbing walls. It’s been taken over now by various doers of good and made ‘safe’. I think you have to pay to get in. Back in the day one could be Indiana Jones for a while and have a truly great time.

SATB choir and organ, with optional congregation, treble choir, 2 trumpets, and timpani - Moderately Easy - Digital Download SKU: MQ.60-7040-E Composed by Jeremy J. Bankson. Christ the King, Reformation. Score & instrument parts. 10 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #60-7040-E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.60-7040-E). English. This concertato could also be used as a festive anthem for SATB and optional treble choir, since congregational participation is not essential. The tune WESTMINSTER ABBEY is scored for two trumpets, timpani, and organ. There is a short introduction made of melodic material not in the hymn tune (which is also used in between the phrases of stanza two and for interludes between verses). Stanza one begins in unison and finishes in four parts. Stanza two is unison treble (which can be children's choir or just soprano and alto voices). The introduction is heard again with trumpet fanfares as an interlude before the third stanza. Stanza three gives the melody to the first trumpet while the choir creatively harmonizes around it. A final interlude leads into the fourth stanza for unison with descant and trumpet fanfares.Instrumental Parts include: Trumpets I and II in C and B-flat, Timpani.

Are your students ready for more intermediate or advanced band repertoire, yet the band’s limited instrumentation holds them back? My Limited or Full series is geared toward the success of small bands with limited instrumentation. These pieces aim at giving small bands more advanced music within the framework of a young band arrangement. If you like the music, these pieces also sound great with a larger full instrumentation.PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:Leontovych’s CAROL OF THE BELLS is one of the most iconic and timeless Christmas carols in Western music. This arrangement inserts the classic carol into an exciting, lively concert band overture that is sure to interest both your students and your audience! This overture begins with a loud and bombastic riff, accompanied by a lively accented background rhythm. The introduction then gives way to a soft and lively melody in the flutes and high woodwinds. The full ensemble then enters, combining traditional carol with the lively accented rhythm. The piece then softly passes the melody between sections. The melody is further passed around as instruments are added. The piece finally gives way to a bombastic combination of the traditional carol and the introductory riff. The melody is then softly passed between sections once more, and then this section finally builds to a full orchestral finish. I sincerely hope that you enjoy my lively arrangement of Carol of the Bells.      - Christopher Durigg

Small Ensemble Horn,Piano,Violin - Digital Download SKU: A0.506269 Composed by Ho Fong Leong. Classical,Contemporary,New Age. Score and parts. 18 pages. Published by Marco leong (A0.506269). Dedicated to Simon, Leo and Wellington School as a parting gift. Scored for Violin, Horn and Piano. Premiered in St George's Bristol, September 2019. “And then we see†is dedicated to the wonderful people I have met throughout my journey in Wellington School, especially to two of my very good friends – Simon, a euphonist; and Leo, a ‘cellist. Originally planned to be written for Piano, ‘Cello and Euphonium, and to be finished and performed in our last school concert as a goodbye gift, I had however not managed to complete the work before graduation. I have therefore taken this opportunity to express my emotions and sentiments from the time with this newly written piece. One can therefore very easily sense the nostalgia pouring right from the very beginning of the music, as I reminisce our years together. It is based loosely on a ternary structure (ABA) – the A section depicts the moment of farewell. One can hear the violin plays a very simple, bell-like melody, representing the bell-strikes which signify that it is the end of a long journey – time to say goodbye. The B section, based on the very same melody, transforms itself into a 6/8 dance. This dance depicts the pang and melancholia as we bid farewell, leading to a passionate climax. The A section then returns with the melody in its original form, announced by the horn. The coda concludes the piece, trying to move away from the tonic, representing the start of a new chapter in our journey and our optimistic feelings about it. Throughout the piece there are also quotes from the famous Westminster chimes, and variants of it, enforcing the bell imagery.
