By 100 Strings And Joni (bonus Tracks). By Irving Kahal and Sammy Fain. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show. Score. 3 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #882338. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1291729).

I Can Dream, Can't I?, is a popular song written by Sammy Fain with lyrics by Irving Kahal that was published in 1937. It was included in a flop musical, Right This Way. Tommy Dorsey released a hit recording of it the same year, but it was in the postwar years that the song gained its greatest success. The best-known version was recorded by the Andrews Sisters and Gordon Jenkins Chorus and Orchestra on July 15, 1949. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements and was developed from the original 1937 sheet music. We also added some pretty cool left-hand fills to keep things moving along smoothly. We hope you like what we've done with this grand old tune!

By Etta James. By Irving Kahal and Sammy Fain. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. Score. 6 pages. Timothy Stapay #863059. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1270685).

This arrangement of I'll Be Seeing You is written as performed by legendary piano artist, Liberace.  It's based on a rare piano solo version rather than thevocal version, that Liberace would often sing on his shows.

I'll Be Seeing You is a popular song about missing a loved one, with music by Sammy Fain and lyrics by Irving Kahal.   Published in 1938, it was inserted into the Broadway musical Right This Way, which closed after fifteen performances. The title of the 1944 film I'll Be Seeing You was taken from this song at the suggestion of the film's producer, Dore Schary. The song is included in the film's soundtrack.

Lyrics:

I'll be seeing you in all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces all day through
In that small cafe, the park across the way
The children's carousel,
The chestnut trees, the wishing well

I'll be seeing you in every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way

I'll find you in the morning' sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
But I'll be seeing you
I'll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
But I'll be seeing you.

Composed by Irving Kahal and Sammy Fain. Arranged by Art Levine. Contemporary. Score and parts. 3 pages. Art levine music #6016203. Published by art levine music (A0.969030).

Famous song by Sammy Fain & Irving Kahal (pronounced like the leafy vegetable!) from 1938. You can almost feel the war at the door. The original verse lyrics: Cathedral bells were tolling, and our hearts sang on / Was it the spell of Paris, or the April dawn? / Who knows when we shall meet again / But when the morning chimes ring sweet again … I decided to make up my own covid-19 words for the verse, but if you long for the magic of the original, go for it. If you’re interested in my chord-melody arrangement for uke (one of about 350), it’s available (with the lyrics, natch) at Sheet Music Plus. Stay healthy, and stay away from germs. I’ll be seeing you, hahaha.

By Etta James. By Irving Kahal and Sammy Fain. Arranged by P. R. Frederick. Broadway,Musical/Show,Pop. 2 pages. P. R. Frederick #931744. Published by P. R. Frederick (A0.1346954).

“I’ll Be Seeing You†was published in 1938 and became a significant song during World War II, resonating with people separated from their loved ones. The song is not about rejection, but rather about the power of love transcending time and distance, making it meaningful to a wide range of people, including those separated by the war. It has been recorded by various artists, including Bing Crosby, Billie Holiday, and Jo Stafford.

Here it is arranged for two violins.  A score and separate parts are provided. Enjoy playing this beautiful song.
