It is dedicated to his friend Théodore Dubois, the Director of the National Conservatory of Music. (IMSLP) Morceau Symphonique has become one of the staples of the solo Trombone repertoire, a must perform work for aspiring artists because it is jam-packed with so many inspiring musical phrases. It's melody is intoxicatingly beautiful and leaves its listeners humming it long after the show is over. Lisa Albrecht of the Rochester Philharmonic has arranged a most lovely rendition of this great song for Trombone quartet. About five minutes in length, this work is appropriate for an advanced player on the lead part and intermediate performers in the rest.

Here is a description by composer Henry Wolking of his beautifully expressive new work for trombone quartet, Another Today.Another Today for trombone quartet was composed in the spring of 2020. This will most certainly join a long list of other compositions written by homebound composers during the beginning of the worldwide pandemic. Another Today is a seven and a half minute single movement concert work with several contrasting sections. Though hard to categorize, it is lively, energetic, and highly expressive. I rate it at the medium-difficult level of difficulty. The ranges are moderate but are highly rhythmic. I feel it is one of the most expressive chamber brass works of my career.

The single debuted at number one in Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia and Greece, number two on the UK Singles Chart and in the top ten in Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Russia and Switzerland. On 27 October 2023, she shared a close-up picture of a key between her teeth, accompanied by the phrase catch me or I go; this was followed by a teaser of the song on her social media a few days later, hinting at the song title. A rearranged combination of numbers would spell out the title Houdini, named after escape artist Harry Houdini.
