Â Gordon's recording was of Gullah Geechee member Henry Wylly (born 1899?). Â The music links back to the Gullah Geechee's ancestors who were brought to America from West Africa in the early 1700s and are a cry for help from oppression and hope for better days.Now arranged for Brass Sextet, it is a wonderful addition to use for concerts or religious services.Instrumentation is for the British Brass Band ensemble of two cornets, tenor horn, tenor trombone TC, Bb Euphonium, and Eb Bass.
