Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.845464 Composed by Diane Eve Warren, Laura Pausini, and Niccolo Agliardi. Arranged by Musikeo. Contemporary. Score. 3 pages. Musikeo #6371721. Published by Musikeo (A0.845464). Io sì (Seen) is a song written by Diane Warren, Laura Pausini and Niccolò Agliardi, and recorded by Pausini for the soundtrack of the 2020 film The Life Ahead. The song was produced by Greg Wells and released as a digital single on 23 October 2020. Io sì (Seen) won the awards for Song of the Year at the Capri Hollywood International Film Festival, Best International Song at the CinEuphoria Awards, Master in Music Award at the Los Angeles Italia Film Festival, Outstanding Song – Feature Film at the 11th Hollywood Music in Media Awards, Best Original Song at the 25th Satellite Awards and the award with the same name at the 78th Golden Globe Awards (the first non-English song to win the award and Pausini the first Italian singer ever to win the prize). It also received nominations for Best Original Song at the 93rd Academy Awards, making it the first song sung entirely in Italian to be nominated, and Best Original Song both at the 66th David di Donatello Awards and at the 19th Gold Derby Awards.Io sì (Seen) is a power ballad. Diane Warren wrote the original version of the song, with English-language lyrics, specifically for the film The Life Ahead, and involved Pausini in the project during the summer of 2020. After watching the film, Pausini accepted to perform the song, identifying herself in its message about diversity and against prejudice, racism, also talks about the hard life of orphaned or poor children, people struggling to have or adopt children, to people who are invisible and need to be seen and especially to the difficult situation that the world lives in these times.[8] Pausini translated the song in Italian with her frequent collaborator Niccolò Agliardi. Despite being used to compose instinctively, Pausini and Agliardi worked on the lyrics adaptation for 25 days, since she wanted to be sure to respect the film's meaning. The song was produced, mixed, with most instruments played by Greg Wells, and recorded in Romagna in Pausini's home studio built in her parents' house. The film only features the Italian-language version of the song, but it was also recorded by Pausini in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. The piano arrangement we came up with here has the lead melody on the right hand and a simple but beautiful accompaniment on the left hand. Guitar Chord Symbols and Fretboards are also provided . Enjoy this beautiful song!

Beyond the song as originally composed by Schubert, it is often performed and recorded by many singers under the title Ave Maria (the Latin name of the prayer Hail Mary, and also the opening words and refrain of Ellen's song, a song which is itself a prayer to the Virgin Mary), in musically simplified arrangements and with various lyrics that commonly differ from the original context of the poem. It was arranged in three versions for piano by Franz Liszt.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.944034 Composed by Music and James Joyce, Ofer Ben-Amots, and Poetry (our of Chamber Music). Contemporary. Score and parts. 127 pages. The Composer's Own Press #4615369. Published by The Composer's Own Press (A0.944034). Ben-Amots: The Joyce Cycle (1986) James Joyce's collection of 36 love poems titled Chamber Music has been a source of inspiration to many composers. From these, Ben-Amots has set nine for medium voice and piano (later orchestrated--see below), in a style he characterizes as neo-romantic to match the deliberate archaicism of Joyce's language. The songs are meant to be sung as a complete cycle, but these complex and beautiful settings may be performed independently. Shortly after composing the cycle, Ben-Amots orchestrated it, and he now considers the orchestral version to have priority. Deftly and lightly scored (winds in pairs, no heavy brass), this version sounds strikingly Mahlerian in places. 1. O Sweetheart... The lover finds solace in love when friends him fail. 2. My love is in a light attire... He admires the sight of his love walking through an orchard. 3. My dove my beautiful one... In language reminiscent of the Song of Songs, he bids her arise.  4. Rain has fallen... They seek shelter on a rainy day. 5. Sleep Now, O Sleep Now... The lover's unquiet heart is calmed with a kiss. 6. It was out by Donnycarney... A cheerful folksong, sealed with another kiss. 7. Winds of May... By the turbulent sea, the loved one has disappeared. 8. I Hear an Army... Giving way to despair the lover dreams of an army ferociously charging up out of the depths. But... 9. From Dewy dreams... It was just a dream, after all. For part and performance materials please contact thecomposerspress@gmail.com * The poems, out of James Joyce’s Chamber Music, are in the public domain.Duration: ~ 25 min.Performance material by rental only! For demo recording, questions, or any additional information please e-mail Ofer Ben-Amots at: thecomposerspress@gmail.com

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1187278 By Lyrics by Charlotte Brönte. By Annemieke Lustenhouwer. Contemporary. Octavo. 4 pages. Annemieke Lustenhouwer #786916. Published by Annemieke Lustenhouwer (A0.1187278). Charlotte Brönte is a one of the best known women writers of the Victorian era and wrote both novels and poems. Her best known novel is Jane Eyre. She did write it under the pseudonym of Currer Bell. Like her contemporary Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Brontë experimented with the poetic forms that became the characteristic modes of the Victorian period. In this poem for SATB choir a capella I tried to catch melancholy that Charlotte descripes in her poem about the landscape around a moor. She did it very vivid. You can almost see the colours, hear and sounds and smell it's odours.

Published by Musica Semplice (A0.1247123). Exploring feelings of abandonment and isolation....In 1985, while still thinking of myself as songwriter, a mentor presented me with the challenge of setting three Psalms to music.  But the catch was that these settings would have to be solo piano pieces: Songs Without Words. How Long Will You Forget Me? (Psalm 13) was the first composition to come out of that challenge and my first notated instrumental piece. Out of the Depths (Psalm 130) was the second. (I still have yet to compose the third one.)I've written and discarded more pieces than I can count, but this  simple little piece has stuck with me.  I can see sparks in it of works that were to come later.  Simple and naive as it is, it still sounds like my own voice.

Choral Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.828670 Composed by Leslie Bricusse. Arranged by Ted Samuels. Contemporary. Score. 16 pages. Theodore A. Samuels #6053843. Published by Theodore A. Samuels (A0.828670). This arrangement was created to commemorate both the 50th anniversary of the 1970 Christmas movie musical SCROOGE & the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven.  A more detailed description of this piece & the story & imaginings behind it is included in its covering pages.  However, it may be summarized by its subtitle, What If Liszt Played Beethoven While Scrooge & the Londoners Celebrated?  (Franz Liszt was performing in a European concert tour at the same time that Charles Dickens was writing A Christmas Carol in 1843. Liszt's purpose for the tour was to raise money for constructing a statue of Beethoven in his hometown of Bonn, Germany.)  The piece begins in the key of Bb for the first 3 verses of the song.  The 3rd verse consists of a variation on the melody in the style of Beethoven, perhaps as Liszt might have written & performed it.  The key is raised to C major for the final verse, which includes a few quotes from Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, and concludes with some final lines from his Choral Symphony No. 9 as well as The 5th.  The full time of performance by piano/keyboard, solo voice and/or choir is approximately 4 minutes, which may be shortened & simplified by skipping the 3rd variation verse as indicated.

A Suite for British Style Brass Band which was chosen as the 4th Section Test Piece for the Butlins Mineworkers Brass Band Championships 2015 in Skegness, UK. Each movement is based on a famous French Impressionist painting as follows:1. Boulevard Montmarte (Pissarro – 1897) The Boulevard Montmartre is one of the four grand boulevards of Paris. This painting gave me the idea of writing a piece to portray a journey in a pony and trap through this busy street scene, starting out serenely in the suburbs, travelling through all the hustle and bustle, before trailing off into the distance.  An all pervasive Poulenc mouvement perpetual accompaniment style is present throughout this movement. 2. Lac d'Annecy  (Cézanne - 1896) Although marked Waltz triste (sad waltz), the mood of the music is rather reflective in nature. This movement is the longest of the five and I would not recommend it being played too slow. Stylistically, it is a characteristic accordion piece, so touches of rubato here and there wouldn’t be out of keeping.  3. La Cathédrale de Rouen  (Monet - 1894) This is the most difficult movement to play in respect of intonation, with lots of unisons, octaves and parallel intervals. The opening should be a true piano in order to allow the piece grow. The plainsong statements should be played smoothly and with plenty of air.  4. Les Parapluies  (Renoir - 1884) A jaunty, playful theme leading in to a little fugue. A little low in places for the euphoniums and baritones. The music should skip along comfortably without rushing to allow the finer detail to come through.  5. Au Moulin Rouge  (Toulouse-Lautrec - 1895) A lively tempo, always chasing forward without slackening. As in the previous movement, good dynamic contrast, swells and tight precise articulation. Lots of work for everyone, especially the baritones and euphoniums. Take care that the mf dynamic of the 'bass solo' is not overdone. If needs must, the siren whistle could be substituted with a referee's whistle, but I would like my duck call! The champagne cork 'pops' are really more visual than audible, however, it would be advisable for more of the band to join in,  as required.
