The Vampire Suite is a percussion suite of four Act's, each having anywhere from six to ten parts.  It is aproximately 60 minutes long.  It can be performed as a percussion suite or can be performed with dance to tell the 4 distinct stories.   Each Act is based on a short story written between 1800 and 1920. The stories are The Vampire Maid by Hume Nisbit, Dracula's Guest by Bram Stroker, Clarimonde by Theophile Gautier and Wake Not the Dead by Ernst Raupach. It would take 4-6 percussionists of an intermediate to advanced level.  The Marimba parts, being the most difficult, could also be played by a pianist on piano.  Included: Full Score Each Part Individually The storyboards for the Ballet Instrument List Bio's of each character Instrumentation: Bass Drum (Concert) Bongos Boom Whackers Claves Concert Toms Conga Cowbell Djembe Drum-Set Glockenspiel (Bells) Marimba Snare Drum (Concert) Triangle Tubular Bells Vibraphone Wood Blocks Xylophone The mp3 here is a sampling of the pieces. The music can be heard in full at https://jccroylepercussion.bandcamp.com/album/the-vampire-suite-for-percussion

Percussion Ensemble African Percussion,Bass Marimba,Bongos,Boomwhackers,Conga Drum,Drum Set,Snare Drum,Vibraphone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1416844 By JC Croyle. By JC Croyle. Classical,Halloween,Multicultural,World. 75 pages. JC Croyle #998440. Published by JC Croyle (A0.1416844). This is One of Four Percussion suites (Part II) that can either be played with the other three portions or by itself or even each part inside this portion of the suite for performance.  Included with the score and each instrument part are the entire instrumentation, storyboards, and a character Bio Page.  Why is there a character Bio page and storyboard you ask?  This suite combined with the others can also be performed as a contemporary dance piece following the story of the short story (which is in the public domain) written by Bram Stroker as a prelude to Dracula entitled Dracula's Curse.  Instrumentation for each portion can range from Orchestral Bass Drum, Snare Drum, and Marimba Parts to drum-set to Boom Whackers.  Note: Most of the Marimba parts and some of the Vibeâ??s parts are written for Grand Marimba, these could also be played on a piano if need be.  Same with the Vibes.  Each mallet part could also be split so that 2-3 people play it instead of a more advanced player playing with 4 mallets.  This would be the same for the Boom Whacker sections as well.

Jazz Combo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1423969 By JC Croyle. By Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by JC Croyle. Classical,Contest,Festival,Historic,Jazz. 75 pages. JC Croyle #1005169. Published by JC Croyle (A0.1423969). This piece was originally a classical string movement by Mozart.  This arrangement takes that and turns it into a small jazz combo piece for piano, upright bass, drums and tenor sax.  The tenor part could be switched to another brass or woodwind instrument or even a guitar.  The piano could also instead be a vibrapone or marimba part.  The piano part is the lead but the tenor has a lot of lead-like instances as well.  The tempo is increased slightly from the original and the piece is meant to be swung throughout.
