Telling them to do whatever with the piece, it is appropriated by the famous composer and is a hit.  Hearing the piece on the radio and sung by his soprano best friend, Djeno can take no more and commits suicide. His friend must deal with the aftermath of her betrayal.  Musical theater/opera hybrid. Perfect opera university or young voices. Poignant commentary on our time and the superficial, over-importance fame plays in it. Beautiful, accessible music.

With a quest to find the statue's twin, she flees to the country Joondor, site of the ancient city of Aksum where she is ultimately consumed by her love for Menkaure. In this aria, inthe third world country of Joondor, Trista and her guide Consaladas have come to a dead end in their search for the statue of Menkaure. That is, until a mysterious figure appears from the shadows, Hamlak the Prophet. Sung here as a character piece but can be a powerful aria for a dramatic, stentorian voice.
