The moons gaze illuminates everything and the cool of the night pulls you into its glare. This is what inspired this work; and, it cascading string beds, and whimsical melodies will pull you in. It concludes with an ending as if the the night's work is done and another evening will give one the ability to reflect on where they've been and what good they can bring. Scored for chamber orchestra and is of the intermediate playing level. Some parts may require a little bit of preparation to insure music is seamless.

The key change at the end enhance the mood of the arrangement by adding a slight bit more energy to the melody. Work is written for solo piano and is within the intermediate  playing level. Some parts may require a slight stretch and such. Sample is included as well as sample of work.

This piano reduction with 2 flutes and 2 oboes of my work Balloon Ride (full score available on Sheet Music Plus) will present a challenge to anyone who is in for a stretch. Piano parts are best played as one voice to reduce hand cramps; however, the damper pedal works nicely as well. The winds contemplate the work nicely and will present a challenge to anyone who really wants to stretch their arpeggio skills. May work nicely for a college recital possibly. As a performance suggestion, it may be helpful to slow down some sections to make it less strenuous on the wrist if desired.

Work is of intermediate playing difficulty and will require a slight familiarity with waltz to become accustomed to the techniques it requires. Melodic wisps require some crossover fingerings in order to play effectively. May possibly be suited as possibly a work that can maybe be played at a traditional wedding since style is reminiscent of something from the Romantic period with a slight modern flare...giving it a refined, yet traditional style. It's lively melodies, lush string beds, and mesmerizing harmonies will keep you thoroughly engaged. As you are preparing for your journey, the escalating strings propel you forward and raise you up in the sky. Soon following, the wind gently keeps you afloat as the slight gusts (invoked by the escalating winds) push you forward and higher. Eventually, you hit a tornado (sporadic harmony changes) and snowstorm as you fighting for your life. Eventually, the sailing gets easier as you soon approach clear skies; and, the anticipation keeps rising as you eventually reach the home stretch. Would work great as an opening or closing to a concert. For performance, some sections may need to be slowed down maybe to make it less taxing on players. The key is momentum and minimal hand motion possibly for string parts. Scored for chamber orchestra. MP3 sample is included for your listening pleasure.

Arrangement is of intermediate playing level. Would be a great piece to play for a Christmas Eve candlelight service; or, a small production.

As a performance note, lyrics (whether on screen or handed out) to song will need to be provided to congregation for them to sing along since lyrics aren't included. Very suited for a small to moderate size church service.
