Trumpet Duet Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.817160 Composed by Manuel de Falla and Erik Satie. Arranged by Charles Decker. 20th Century,Chamber,Contest,Festival,Historic. Score. 20 pages. Charles Decker Music Press #6078803. Published by Charles Decker Music Press (A0.817160). Playable using either B-flat or C trumpets, these two brilliant, short fanfares for two trumpets from 1921 by Manuel de Falla and Erik Satie exhibit two contrasting compositional approaches. The Falla Fanfare for a Festival is reminiscent of his dramatic opening trumpet and timpani fanfare to his Three-Cornered Hat and can be an exciting concert prelude featuring band or orchestra trumpeters and percussionists. Timpani parts are included for use with either C or B-flat trumpets. The subtly humorous Sonnerie by the eccentric, but influential French iconoclast, includes translation of Satie’s witty written commentary for the duet. Careful execution of the highly edited music will enliven the musical humor and performers will be amused with his score comments. Both fanfares have individual parts and a duo score. The audio file is an actual trumpet performance of both fanfares and not a computer playback of the score.See 50+ homogeneous brass group editions for horn, trumpet and trombone ensembles and more than 70 mixed brass ensemble publications with Charles Decker Music Press at Sheet Music Plus for inexperienced to advanced musicians with music ranging from the Renaissance to contemporary new works for trios, quartets, quintets, brass choir and brass band. Charles Decker Music Press #647789. Published by Charles Decker Music Press (A0.1043082). The most famous and recognizable fanfare of all time, Bugler’s Dream was adopted by ABC Television in 1964 to become the iconic musical Olympic Fanfare introducing decades of televised Olympic competitions and familiar to millions of listeners. This setting for eight B-flat trumpets can be enhanced by using optional flugelhorns for parts 5-8 to contrast against the brilliance of the trumpet 1-4 parts. A very accessible work for students and easily memorized, not only can it be an exciting fanfare for brass ensemble programs and special events but an impressive opening to band concerts featuring the trumpet section. The recording is by an actual trumpet octet and not a computer playback of the score.See 50+ homogeneous brass group editions for horn, trumpet and trombone ensembles and more than 70 mixed brass ensemble publications with Charles Decker Music Press at Sheet Music Plus for inexperienced to advanced musicians with music ranging from the Renaissance to contemporary new works for trios, quartets, quintets, brass choir and brass band.
