Clarinet Duet Bass Clarinet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1349255 Composed by Phil Beaman. Advent,Christmas,Early Music,Jazz,Renaissance. 2 scores. 4 pages. Phil Beaman #934000. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.1349255). This jazz composition is based on the hauntingly beautiful 15th century medieval tune that is commonly used for the Advent carol O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.  I have reharmonized it with the accompaniment in a Key Signature a fifth above that of the melody.  The accompaniment, part 2, has a broken two chord ostinato throughout written as a walking bass line.  I have altered the melody, part 1, and moved much of it to the off beats.  As in period early music, I allow occassional dissonances in order to keep the ostinato.  This piece makes a wonderfully useful and unique addition to the season's repertoire.  (I have also published a version on this site with text so it can be sung by a soloist or unison choir with piano accompaniment.)  (Also as a piano solo.)range - part 1 melody - 10th, middle C to E; part 2 walking bass line, octave and a half, low B to 4th space E 2 pages score, 1 page @ part,  2:05 minutes.

Clarinet,Drum Set,Guitar,Tenor Saxophone,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Digital Download SKU: A0.1071237 By Wynton Marsalis. By Traditional New Orleans Parade Music. Arranged by Dennis Ruello. Blues,Contemporary,Holiday,Jazz,Wedding. Accompaniment. Duration 168. Chicory Music #4639527. Published by Chicory Music (A0.1071237). Second Line, some time called Joe Avery’s Blues, is a song written by the eponymous trombonist that is popular at second line parades. It is played for wedding receptions, parties, parades and at the end of a jazz funeral. The song is based on a simple 12-bar blues form and has a very singable melody. Before the melody starts, the trumpet plays a loud, high call to which the crowd responds, Hey! The band then proceeds to play the melody while second line parade festivities ensue. This Practice Play-Along mp3 will help insure that the performance has the correct Second Line parade feel.
