Brass Quintet Bass Trombone,Horn,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1292501 Composed by Jean-Baptiste Lully. Arranged by Noah Bromberg. Baroque,Chamber,Classical,Early Music,Medieval. 9 pages. Noah Bromberg #883053. Published by Noah Bromberg (A0.1292501). Le Bourgeois gentilhomme (French pronunciation: [lÉ™ buÊÊ’wa ʒɑ̃tijÉ”m], translated as The Bourgeois Gentleman, The Middle-Class Aristocrat, or The Would-Be Noble) is a five-act comédie-ballet – a play intermingled with music, dance and singing – written by Molière, first presented on 14 October 1670 before the court of Louis XIV at the Château of Chambord by Molière's troupe of actors. Subsequent public performances were given at the theatre of the Palais-Royal beginning on 23 November 1670.[1] The music was composed by Jean-Baptiste Lully, the choreography was by Pierre Beauchamp, the sets were by Carlo Vigarani and the costumes were done by the chevalier d’Arvieux.Le Bourgeois gentilhomme satirizes attempts at social climbing and the bourgeois personality, poking fun both at the vulgar, pretentious middle-class and the vain, snobbish aristocracy. The title is meant as an oxymoron: in Molière's France, a gentleman was by definition nobly born, and thus there could be no such thing as a bourgeois gentleman. This orchestration for brass quintet has been adapted to accomodate modern instrumentation, while preserving the original intent of the composer. the piece has been transposed down a whole step from the original key, and slight modifications to the individual parts have been adjusted. No modifications to the voicings have been made to preserve the composers intent.

Cello and piano - intermediate to advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q53290 Op. 40. Composed by Auguste Joseph Franchomme. Edited by Beverley Ellis and Rainer Mohrs. This edition: Sheet music. (c) 2020 Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG, Mainz. Classical. Downloadable. Op. 40. 16 pages. Schott Music - Digital #Q53290. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q53290). English • German.Auguste Joseph Franchomme was born in Lille on 10.4.1808; he died in Paris in 1884. One of his first cello teachers in Lille was Pierre Baumann, who also taught Edouard Lalo. Giving up the study of Law in favour of the cello, he studied with Jean-Henri Levasseur and Louis-Pierre Norblin from 1825 at the Paris Conservatoire. After that he played in various orchestras until he was eventually able to establish himself as a soloist and chamber musician in Paris. Together with violinist Jean-Delphin Alard he founded the Alard Quartet, one of the few string quartets of the time whose members were all professional musicians. Alongside his concert career, Franchomme was a popular and successful professor at the Conservatoire for almost forty years. His compositions include numerous pieces and studies for the cello, a cello concerto and many transcriptions. Franchomme was a close friend of Chopin: he also composed the cello part to Chopin’s Duo concertante and reworked the cello part for the Polonaise Brillante. Chopin dedicated his Cello Sonata op. 65 to Franchomme. Chopin’s influence is clearly recognisable in Franchomme’s work and particularly evident, for example, in his Étude in C# minor op. 35/11. In 1884 Franchomme was awarded the Légion d’honneur for his services to music. This Fantaisie based on themes from Mozart’s Magic Flute was published in 1873 (plate no. 20425).

Arranged by Diego Marani. 20th Century,Classical,Instructional,Opera,Romantic Period. 18 pages. Diego Marani #1056014. Published by Diego Marani (A0.1478620). Valse triste (Sad Waltz), Op. 44/1, is a short orchestral work by the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. It was originally part of the incidental music he composed for his brother-in-law Arvid Järnefelt's 1903 play Kuolema (Death), but is far better known as a separate concert piece.Sibelius wrote six pieces for the 2 December 1903 production of Kuolema. The first was titled Tempo di valse lente - Poco risoluto. In 1904 he revised the piece, which was performed in Helsinki on 25 April of that year as Valse triste. It was an instant hit with the public, took on a life of its own, and remains one of Sibelius's signature pieces. It is considered one of the most beautiful and moving waltzes in the history of musicThis arrangement for string quartet (Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Cello) is suitable for any occasion: classroom, repertoire and recital.

Bass Trombone,Trumpet,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1394185 Composed by Jean-Baptiste Loeillet. Arranged by Phil Beaman. Baroque,Instructional,Standards. 12 pages. Phil Beaman #977658. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.1394185). This Baroque piece was originally written by Jean Loeillet as part of a Harpsichord Suite.  It is written in the Italian Corant style in the characteristic Fast(Allegro) 3/4 with rapid running passages of eighth notes (quavers) which alternate scalar steps with large leaps.  Traditionally the piece would have been performed very cleanly, not legato. My arrangement takes the melody and passes it between the three instrument parts.  I wrote a highly ornamented continuo for each part when not playing melody.  In true Baroque style I have created a tight interplay between the parts.  Each part also has a rather wide range of about 2 octaves.  Although in a Minor Key, this piece is very bright and uplifting.  It is very accessible and thus a concert crowd pleaser.   Great for the student recitals too to learn and show mastery of Baroque techniques of clean ensemble playing and ornamentation.  Most of all, this piece is just Pure Fun!6 pages score, 2 pages @ partRanges -Violin -  bottom space F# to high E above staffTrumpet - bottom line E# to high B above staffTrombone - low C below staff to high E above staff.

Pan pipe and organ - advanced to difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q7011 Composed by Jean Guillou. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Op. 71. Duration 14 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q7011. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q7011).
