After watching a Nahre Sol video analyzing Joe Hisaishi, I decided to attempt a similar project as she and rearrange a classical piece according to Hisaishi's style. I chose Für Elise and this is the result.

This is a late elementary piano piece.

Inspired by a video game soundtrack (can you guess which one?). Using Japanese-style cinematic harmony, this piece is based on a short motive that I created one afternoon.

This is a mellow and delicate piano piece. The bell-like notes are reminiscent of a music box. The melancholic and dreamy mood will evoke feelings of sadness and hope.

Jesus is present with us and understands the deepest suffering of any person. The dissonance in the opening theme is meant to bring to mind that pain, suffering, and the cross. But as it resolves in the subsequent themes, I hope that it reminds you of the love that Jesus has for you and fills you with comfort and warmth. He is with you and he will never leave you or forsake you, if you believe in him as your Lord and Savior.

Play this intermediate piano solo for silent prayer during communion for Sunday worship services. This is a suitable piece to program for Lent and Easter.Â
