It’s very slow, and lasts just over three and a half minutes - be sure not to rush this lovely piece and its haunting descant in the final Verse.The key is just a semitone lower than the original, and two guitars are tuned to 6=D to give a rich deep bass that maximises the sustain that guitars can achieve.Guitar 1 plays the part of the high descant in the original.Guitar 2 is the tune, and if you have more than 4 players, there is an optional divisi part (Guitar 2a) that helps reinforce the beautiful melody.Guitar 3 is arpeggio based, to help the sustain and to ease the counting of the beats.Guitar 4 has thick chords which should be rolled (but not strummed) to add to the majesty of the music.I hope you enjoy playing this piece!This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Following Sean Connery's decision to retire from the role after You Only Live Twice, Eon Productions selected George Lazenby, a model with no prior acting credits, to play the part of James Bond. During filming, Lazenby announced that he would play the role of Bond only once. Sean Connery returned to portray James Bond in 1971's Diamonds Are Forever.In the film, Bond faces Blofeld (Telly Savalas), who is planning to hold the world to ransom by a threat to render all food plants and livestock infertile through the actions of a group of brainwashed angels of death. Along the way Bond meets, falls in love with, and eventually marries Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo (Diana Rigg). This arrangement follows closely to the original Orchestral production.

Http://www.HenryMollicone.com Derri-air, a ragtime song for baritone and piano, was written during the production of the new feature-length documentary film, THE FACE ON THE BARROOM FLOOR- The Poem, the Place, the opera. The Face on the Barroom Floor refers to the famous picture painted on the floor of the Teller House Bar in Central City, Colorado (inspired by the poem by D’Arcy), and the opera I composed to John S. Bowman’s libretto in 1978, which was performed every season in Central City for 33 years, and continues to be my most performed opera. Film producer Lawrence Kraman found on the internet a poem which tells a similar story of another woman whose backside (clothed in a can can dress) was painted on the ceiling in a bar a few blocks away. Alas, the bar (and the lady on the ceiling) are no longer there, but for those who know the face poem, Bottoms up- or the end of the slip of a miss, the poem by Colorado’s Sid Squibb, published in 1951, is truly funny- a kind of parody of the Face poem, detailing in this case how the painting got to be done on the ceiling! -Henry Mollicone May, 2013 More information: http://henrymollicone.com/catalog/songlist/derri-air-2012/.
