Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1458257 By Dropkick Murphy's. By Alexander Barr, James Lynch, Jeff Da Rosa, Ken Casey, Matthew Kelly, and Timothy John Brennan. Arranged by Dan Bradley. Celtic,Christmas,Comedy,Holiday,Irish,Punk. 14 pages. Mare Dan Music #1037234. Published by Mare Dan Music (A0.1458257). The Season's Upon Us, by the Dropkick Murphys is a humorous Celtic Punk Rock song. This humorous celtic song is about a dysfunctional family celebrating the holidays. The lyrics are PG-13 so performance is recommended for College audiences or mature audiences. Performance by or for children is not recommended. Here arranged with a tongue in cheek sweet 3/4 choral intro later progressing into a 6/8 with angst and harmony There are humorous solos and plenty of room for dramatics. The song was performed by The Dropkick Murphys in the key of C. The arrnger chose G to allow 4 part harmony. Performance Suggestions: With a capable choir this could/should be performed a capella with interludes by a button accordion. A melodica, or flute/pennywhistle could be substituted for the accordion, or a piano/synth. On the recording there are also guitars and bodhráns - an Irish hand-drum. Guitar chords are included in the arrangement. A suggestion is to watch the original Dropkick Murphy's video on Youtube to catch the spirit of the song.

Guitar Ensemble Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797781 Composed by John Barry. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Contemporary,Film/TV. Score and parts. 19 pages. Derek Hasted #5776547. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797781). WE HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD - 4 GUITARS (see also trio version)For Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This is one of two arrangements I made of this piece during the 2020 Coronavirus Lockdown when we all had rather a lot of time on our hands. The other version is an easier arrangement for 3 guitars - find it on my website belowBoth are set in the key that Louis Armstrong sang it in as part of the James Bond Film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. The other arrangement (for 3 guitars) has a more straightforward rhythm - this intermediate version captures some of Armstrong’s amazing Rubato. The additional guitar part in this version is based on the string motifs and acoustic guitar parts in the original soundtrack, and in a mixed-ability ensemble would suit the most confident player so that the entire piece sounds as relaxed as the original. There are two Guitar One parts in this edition - one that sits above the other instruments in pitch, and in a quartet will carry well. The other is at the pitch Louis Armstrong sang. Because of the depth and timbre of the line, the low version will struggle to cut through the accompaniment unless the other parts are played in a subdued voice. In a large ensemble, one can put a few more players on this line, or indeed play both versions - they are completely compatible. Both lines feature the Flugelhorn solo in the original.I hope you enjoy playing this piece!

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1002970 Composed by Henry Mollicone. Contemporary. Score. 13 pages. Henry Mollicone Publications #2014939. Published by Henry Mollicone Publications (A0.1002970). Http://www.HenryMollicone.com Derri-air, a ragtime song for baritone and piano, was written during the production of the new feature-length documentary film, THE FACE ON THE BARROOM FLOOR- The Poem, the Place, the opera. The Face on the Barroom Floor refers to the famous picture painted on the floor of the Teller House Bar in Central City, Colorado (inspired by the poem by D’Arcy), and the opera I composed to John S. Bowman’s libretto in 1978, which was performed every season in Central City for 33 years, and continues to be my most performed opera. Film producer Lawrence Kraman found on the internet a poem which tells a similar story of another woman whose backside (clothed in a can can dress) was painted on the ceiling in a bar a few blocks away. Alas, the bar (and the lady on the ceiling) are no longer there, but for those who know the face poem, Bottoms up- or the end of the slip of a miss, the poem by Colorado’s Sid Squibb, published in 1951, is truly funny- a kind of parody of the Face poem, detailing in this case how the painting got to be done on the ceiling! -Henry Mollicone May, 2013 More information: http://henrymollicone.com/catalog/songlist/derri-air-2012/.

Banjo - Beginning; Intermediate; Advanced - Digital Download SKU: M0.31054MEB Folk. Old Time. Ebook and online audio. 185 pages. Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music #31054MEB. Published by Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music (M0.31054MEB). ISBN 9781513477107. 8.75X11.75 inches. The island of Cape Breton and its close neighbor, Prince Edward Island in eastern Canada are home to two of the oldest, strongest, and most vibrant fiddling traditions in North America. Cape Breton gave rise to a professional Celtic-based fiddling scene to rival anything coming out of Scotland and Ireland. Prince Edward Island’s traditional fiddlers developed lively, idiosyncratic styles every bit as musically compelling as anything you’ll hear on archival recordings of iconic American old-time fiddlers from the Appalachians. This book features 136 tunes from these two distinct but related fiddling traditions, collected by the author directly from master fiddlers, and arranged note-for-note for clawhammer banjo with as much flavor and nuance as possible. These settings of reels, hornpipes, jigs, marches, strathspeys, airs, and other fiddle tunes are all eminently playable and fully benefit from the author’s half-century of experience playing banjo, arranging for banjo, writing banjo instruction books, and researching fiddle-music traditions. Here’s what you’ll find in this volume. 136 fiddle tunes arranged for clawhammer banjo in clear tablatureOver 40 musical examples and exercisesInstruction on basic and advanced techniquesFingering diagrams and detailed fingering suggestionsA systematic approach to playing up-the-neckA thorough treatment of playing triplets, grace notes, and other characteristic ornaments in clawhammerGuides on how to approach playing various kinds of fiddle tunesA framework for understanding the modes encountered in fiddle musicHistorical notes on the tunes and musical traditionsBiographical information on source fiddlers169 audio illustrations available online Note: Most audio illustrations for the tunes in this book are drawn directly from the author’s CDs, Devil in the Kitchen, Frails and Frolics, Island Boy, and Northern Banjo.

Barry Manilow's version reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in January 1976 after spending two weeks atop the Billboard adult contemporary chart in December 1975. It won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year and was nominated for Record of the Year in 1977. Johnston has stated that, for him, the I in the song is God. Manilow was initially reluctant to record the song, stating in his autobiography Sweet Life: The problem with the song was that if you didn't listen carefully to the lyric, you would think that the singer was singing about himself. It could be misinterpreted as a monumental ego trip.
