Choral Choir (3-Part) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1025681 By Various Artists. By John Lewis Shumann. Arranged by Brett A Foster (BF Music). Contemporary. Octavo. 14 pages. Brett A Foster #6475267. Published by Brett A Foster (A0.1025681). I Was Only Nineteen, I Was Only 19 or A Walk in the Light Green is the most widely recognised song by Australian folk group Redgum. The song was released in March 1983 as a single, which hit number one for two weeks. The song itself is a first-person account of a typical Australian soldier's experience in the Vietnam War, from training at a military academy in Australia to first hand exposure to military operations and combat, and ultimately his return home disillusioned and suffering from both PTSD and, it is implied, the harmful effects of Agent Orange. This piece would work well at any ANZAC Day or Memorial Day event for the Armed services. An optional mp3 backing track or full orchestra backing is also avalable to purchase for this chart.
