String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.782094 By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Aaron Hettinga. Film/TV,Pop,Rock,Standards. Score and parts. 9 pages. Aaron Hettinga #6701451. Published by Aaron Hettinga (A0.782094). This timeless classic from the Beatles is presented here in an arrangement for standard string quartet. It can really be considered as a solo feature for the first violinist, with accompaniment provided by the other three. Aside from some of the rhythmic demands of the melody, there are no major range or technique challenges in any of the four parts for players of an intermediate skill level.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.939560 Composed by Jeremy Cullen. 20th Century,Instructional. Score. 9 pages. Jeremy Cullen #6423891. Published by Jeremy Cullen (A0.939560). In 1991 my father arranged for me to have several informal meetings at the house of Christchurch composer John Ritchie (1921-2014). He kindly critiqued and encouraged my early compositional efforts (I was 14 at the time), and they were by far the best composition lessons I ever had. His enthusiasm for the music of Shostakovich and Stravinsky was particularly infectious. At our first meeting I brought along three piano pieces which were very much inspired by Rachmaninoff. He asked me to go home and write three  short characteristic piano pieces for him. When I returned and played him these three (very Shostakovich-ian) dances he was much more approving!
