Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1474842 By All Star Tribute. By Al Cleveland, Marvin Gaye, and Renaldo Benson. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Pop,Rock. Score. 3 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #1052463. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1474842). What's Going On is a song by American singer-songwriter Marvin Gaye, released in 1971 on the Motown subsidiary Tamla. It is the opening track of Gaye's studio album of the same name. Originally inspired by a police brutality incident witnessed by Renaldo Obie Benson, the song was composed by Benson, Al Cleveland, and Gaye and produced by Gaye himself. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We added what we think are some pretty cool left-hand fills that we hope you will like! It's a fun song and not too hard to play! We hope you like what we've done with this great ol' tune!

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1474678 Composed by Matt Dennis and Tom Adair. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show,Pop. Score. 3 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #1052256. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1474678). Let's Get Away from It All is a popular song with music by Matt Dennis and lyrics by Tom Adair, published in 1941. The song is most commonly associated with Frank Sinatra (who had a hit with it as a member of The Pied Pipers while he was a part of Tommy Dorsey's orchestra and later for his Come Fly with Me album), but many others have recorded it and it is considered a standard of traditional pop music. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We added what we think are some pretty cool left-hand fills that we hope you will like! String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1134460 Composed by alan Edgar and John Milton. 20th Century,Chamber,Christian,Religious. 30 pages. Alan Edgar Ted Moon #734553. Published by Alan Edgar Ted Moon (A0.1134460). EVE’S PARADISE LOST Soprano (C up to G#), with string quartet. Vocal score included. Also available with reed quartet: oboes, clarinet, bassoon. Paradise Lost by The English poet John Milton is an epic occupying twelve books. It retells the tale of the Fall of Mankind – the moment when Adam and Eve were enticed by Satan to eat the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, and as a result were banished from the Garden of Eden. Milton gives far more detail than Genesis. The song presents the story from Eve’s point of view. I edited the passages for scansion and to suit a modern ear, and ended up with lyrics that fall into three sections: Eve's feelings of shame and guilt, her overhearing the sentence, and her realisation of what she will lose. Octatonic and pentatonic modes. Many quartals. Intermediate. 6 minutes.

Woodwind Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1184728 Composed by alan Edgar and John Milton. 20th Century,Chamber. 54 pages. Alan Edgar Ted Moon #784409. Published by Alan Edgar Ted Moon (A0.1184728). Paradise Lost by The English poet John Milton is an epic occupying twelve books, totalling more than ten thousand five hundred lines. It retells the tale of the Fall of Mankind – the moment when Eve was enticed by Satan to eat the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge and then tempted Adam to do the same, and as a result both were banished from the Garden of Eden. Milton imagines far more detail than the Holy Bible. This song presents the story from Adam’s point of view, so I selected relevant passages in Paradise Lost, where Milton imagines Adam’s thoughts and experiences; and I edited them for scansion, to suit a more modern ear, and to make a logical sequence of events. Adam bemoans the deception of Eve by the Serpent and his own shame.   Then he hears Archangel Michael  pronounce the couple’s sentence of banishment from Eden. Next he laments his having to leave Eden. Michael warns him that there will be consequences for all his descendants, and he is given a vision of those horrid consequences—murder, disease and misery. They leave Eden, and Adam hymns of his renewed worshipful attitude,  of a final acceptance of their new more ordinary life.DURATION:  11 minutes.INSTRUMENTATION:  Tenor(c to top c), with either a reed quartet (Oboes, Clarinet and Bassoon) or string quartet.  Dress optional.
