Instrumental Duet Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.589818

By John Denver. By David Leslie Froggatt, Jane Barnes, and Johnny Marks. Arranged by David McKeown. Children,Christmas,Country,Holiday,Rock. Score and parts. 4 pages. David McKeown #6096195. Published by David McKeown (A0.589818).

This version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is arranged by David McKeown as a duet for one Violin and one Cello.

The song, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, was written in 1949 by Johhny Marks. The Rudolph story was written by Marks’ brother-in-law, Robert L May, a decade earlier. The success of the song was guaranteed when it was recorded by Gene Autry, a huge star at the time. Initially Gene Autry didn’t like the song and was only persuaded to record it by his wife. She obviously knew best as Rudolph went on to become the second best-selling Christmas record of all time after White Christmas, with versions by everyone from the Jackson Five to Alvin and the Chipmunks.

This duet version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is based on the Gene Autry version, with a short introduction, and three choruses of the melody, with a key change and varied accompaniment throughout. Rhythms are simple in a swing style and the range is conservative, so this arrangement is ideal for players at an intermediate level.  Click the link above to listen to a full Youtube performance of the Clarinet version of this duet.

B-Flat Trumpet,Horn,Organ,Timpani,Trombone,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1272749

Composed by Felix Mendelssohn / W.H. Cummings. Arranged by Todd Marchand. Christmas,Holiday,Sacred,Traditional. 23 pages. Con Spirito Music #864944. Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.1272749).

One of the “Great Four†Anglican hymns of the 19th century, Charles Wesley’s (1707-1788) “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing†first appeared in the 1739 collection, Hymns and Sacred Poems, by Wesley and his brother John (1703-1791) under the title “Hymn for Christmas-Day.â€

Based on a verse from the Gospel of Luke (“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.†— 2:14), the hymn tells of an angelic host singing praises from Heaven above to Christ — the God incarnate, Savior and Redeemer of the world.

George Whitefield, a fellow Anglican cleric and founder with the Wesley brothers of the evangelical movement known as Methodism, adapted the hymn and published it in his 1754 Collection of Hymns for Social Worship. Additional revisions were made by other editors, including the repetition of the opening lines, “Hark! the herald angels sing / glory to the new-born king†at the end of each stanza, as it is commonly sung today.

Wesley envisioned his hymn being sung to the same tune as his “Christ the Lord is Risen Today†(published as “Hymn for Easter-Day†in Hymns and Sacred Poems). However, the tune MENDELSSOHN, an adaptation by English musician William H. Cummings (1831-1915) of music from Felix Mendelssohn’s 1840 secular cantata, Festgesang, is overwhelmingly associated with Wesley’s text today. This arrangement proceeds as follows:

•  Introduction: brass, organ, timpani
•  Verse 1: organ
•  Verse 2: brass, timpani
•  Interlude
•  Verse 3: organ, brass, timpani, with alternate harmonization

Includes full score, parts for Organ, Bb Trumpets 1-2, F Horn, Trombone, Tuba, Timpani, and reproducible bulletin insert for voices.

Song of the Autumn Fog. Men and Bass Voices Karaoke in 3 languages. It used cello as the main instrument. The speed is slower than the piano version. English translation:
Autumn Fog by Johnson Gao White curtains are covering the blue hills afar. Crickets are singing in the green bed near. The stony houses are dimly hidden in fragrant woods. Blurred morning glory flowers are dotting the window frames. The vague life contains hardships and dangers. The morning disaster and the evening luck were preset by the heaven. Opportunities only favor to those who can grasp her. When the haze disappears, the sun looks shiner by the side of colorful clouds.

MOON RIVER

Advanced Intermediate Piano Solo

8 Pages.

This popular standard and Best Academy Award Song of 1961 was recorded by vocalist, Audrey Hepburn.  It became  the theme song for Andy Williams and was recorded by many other singers. The memorable song, which was nearly cut from the movie, was sung by Audrey Hepburn in the movie “BREAKFAST AT TIFFANYS.”

I was inspired to create this piano arrangement of MOON RIVER for my dear friends Judy and Milt who celebrated their wedding anniversary on June 30, 2024. This was their song 56 years ago.

This Intermediate piano solo arrangement is written in the key of C and then modulates to the key of E Flat. It is clearly and carefully notated with dynamic marks, phrasing, suggested fingerings, pedal indications, chord identifications and appropriate musical terms for playing.

The left hand sometimes incorporates arpeggiated patterns made up of 9th triplets while the right hand utilizes traditional chords, octaves and intervals or thirds with a touch of jazz harmony.

This piano arrangement sounds artistic and impressive, a wonderful selection, ideal for teaching, recitals and enjoyment.

Within weeks, another two versions were in the charts, with a Louis Armstrong rendition also reaching No. 1, and Ben Selvin and His Orchestra peaking at No. 19.
