Flute,Piano - Digital Download

SKU: A0.998572

Composed by Julie Mandel. 20th Century. Score and part. 31 pages. Joopie Music #5770639. Published by Joopie Music (A0.998572).

Blues for Paul was commissioned by Paul Taub, a wonderful Seattle flutist. One of the first performances of the work was in NY when it was played by Paul on flute and Blanche Abram on piano at a concert given by the American Chamber Ensemble at Hofstra University. I’ve tried to make this work jazz-like as I’ve always felt the flute was generally not as appreciated as it should be in its ability to play jazz.
