Cello,Flute,Piano,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1343361 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Kiyoshi Tamagawa. Chamber,Classical. 101 pages. Mastery for Strings Press #928889. Published by Mastery for Strings Press (A0.1343361). The piano concertos of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart remain among the masterpieces in the medium. When the composer moved from his native Salzburg to Vienna in 1782, three piano concertos (K. 413, 414 and 415) were among his first compositions produced in the latter city. They were scored for full orchestra, but advertised when published as being performable by a keyboard soloist with string quartet or string orchestra alone. The flexibility of the scoring shows that, perhaps out of a desire for increased sales and more hearings of these works, Mozart was not averse to having them played by more intimate groups, transforming them into chamber music. A rather different aesthetic viewpoint motivated the composer Johann Nepomuk Hummel’s arrangements of seven of Mozart’s piano concertos, composed between about 1825 and 1836, though the last of them appeared in print only several years after Hummel’s death in 1837. The accompanying ensemble in these arrangements consists of flute, violin, and cello.  Hummel, who had studied with Mozart as a boy, materially altered and elaborated the solo part in these versions, taking advantage of the increased range of nineteenth-century pianos. He imposed his own tastes in ornamentation and decoration, which strongly influenced the piano writing of Chopin, on melodic passages. This is especially true in the slow movements, resulting in a stylistic hybrid that bridges the Classical and Romantic eras. The present transcription pays homage to Hummel’s elaborate and beautiful reworkings, well worth performing today, by using the same combination of instruments. The editorial viewpoint, however, is that of maximum fidelity to Mozart’s original text. The hope of the transcriber is twofold: 1) that keyboard performers, instrumentalists and audiences might enjoy this work in the absence of a full orchestra, and 2) that pianists might use this version to learn Mozart’s original solo part with a minimum of alteration for such occasions when they are called upon to perform it in its original setting.

Large Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.555861 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozartt. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Classical. Score and parts. 28 pages. RayThompsonMusic #5041165. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.555861). Les petits riens (French for The Little Nothings) is a ballet in one act and three tableaux by Jean-Georges Noverre, with music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and other unknown composers, possibly including François-Joseph Gossec[citation needed], first performed at the Academie Royale de Music in Paris on 11 June 1778.While Mozart was staying in Paris, Noverre asked him to compose a new score for a ballet that he had created in Vienna in 1767. The ballet was to be danced as an interlude in the new opera Le finte gemelle by Niccolò Piccinni.[1] The opera was a flop and closed after four performances. Although the ballet music was well-received,[2] Mozart was not credited with it, and he was at the time little-known in Paris. This arrangement for wind dectet and bass is the Overture.Horn parts are for natural horns in C bassoThe score, catalogued as K. 299b, was thought lost, but it was rediscovered in the Paris Opera's archives in the late 19th century[1] and has since entered both the ballet and symphonic repertoire.

Small Ensemble High Voice,Medium Voice,Piano Accompaniment - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.978445 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Sandstone Music. Christian,Classical,Concert,Sacred. Score and parts. 28 pages. Sandstone Music #6062363. Published by Sandstone Music (A0.978445). This newly edited version of Mozart's 'Exsultate, jubilate' (K.165), including the famous 'Alleluja', matches up this piano vocal score with a new conductor score and set of orchestra parts (available separately). Previous versions of this work by other publishers are traditionally littered with mistakes and wrong notes / instructions / inconsistent dynamics, which have been fixed in this edition, including the addition of rehearsal marks which correspond with the conductor score and orchestra parts. Mozart's 1773 work is a motet consisting of four sections: Exsultate, jubilate (Allegro, F Major), Fulget amica dies (Secco Recitative), Tu virginum corona (Andante, A Major) and Alleluja (Molto allegro, F Major). It has become one of the most popular works for sopranos and mezzo-sopranos, notably the finale (Alleluja) and is frequently a major study work at conservatoires and universities. This score is for voice and piano, with the piano part adjusted to more closely resemble the orchestral parts.
