Love Walked In is a song composed by George Gershwin, with lyrics by Ira Gershwin. The tune was composed in 1930, but the lyric was not written until 1937, for the movie musical The Goldwyn Follies (1938), where it was sung by Kenny Baker. Hit versions include Sammy Kaye (1938), The Hilltoppers (1953), Ella Fitzgerald (1959), The Flamingos (1959) and Dinah Washington (1960). Artie Shaw recorded the song in the early 1940s. This version was developed from the original sheet music from 1937 and features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements - we hope you like what we've done with this grand old tune!

Hey there! If you're looking at this you probably love bluegrass as much as I do. I typed up this arrangement for fiddle in the style of Kenny Baker. I've added my own bowings and fingerings based on what feels right and sounds good to me. Slides are marked with either a slanted line or the word slide. The two slanted lines in m. 17, however, mean to lift off at the end of the bow stroke. This helps give a skipping sound to the last note of the measure and puts you at the frog, the perfect setup for the long bows at m. 18-20. I also recommend doing a lift off at the end of the half note in m. 23. The form is ABCB, and on your last pass through the progression follow the To Coda to the Coda / Ending. Speak Low (1943) is a popular song composed by Kurt Weill, with lyrics by Ogden Nash. It was introduced by Mary Martin and Kenny Baker in the Broadway musical One Touch of Venus (1943). The 1944 hit single was by Guy Lombardo and his orchestra, with vocal by Billy Leach. Actress Ava Gardner (dubbed by Eileen Wilson) and Dick Haymes sang the song in the feature film version of One Touch of Venus (1948). The tune is a jazz standard that has been widely recorded by both vocal artists and instrumentalists. It is generally performed with a Latin flair such as a beguine, but just to be different, John and I arranged it as a medium-tempo ballad - we are very happy with the result. This is a legendary bluegrass tune composed by Bill Monroe. I have written in bowings that give it, in my humble opinion, the right feel, momentum, playability and phrasing. Angel Eyes is a jazz standard which has inspired many interpretations. Many singers have recorded versions of the song, including Nat King Cole (already in 1953), Frank Sinatra, June Christy with Stan Kenton, Chet Baker, Shirley Bassey, Neil Sedaka, Willie Nelson with Ray Charles, and Sting. Ella Fitzgerald, who recorded Angel Eyes at least four times, named it her favorite song.[2] Instrumental versions were recorded not as often as vocal takes, by the likes of Benny Carter, the Modern Jazz Quartet, Dave Brubeck, Kenny Burrell, Joe Albany, and more recently by McCoy Tyner, Gary Thomas and Joe Lovano. In the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion the song Rei I (composed by Shir� Sagisu) is heavily based off Angel Eyes, following an almost similar composition. This version is for Solo Trombone and orchestra. Although the trombone part is semi improvised the soloist is free to do as they please!
