This piece is medium difficult and is accessible to a good high school group or college/service level band. Forever And A Day can be performed by a traditional 5-piece brass quintet or by adding the optional auxiliary percussion parts provided.The piece begins with a wistful chorale before leading into a quasi funk groove that is propelled throughout the composition via contemporary harmonies, rhythms and mood transformations. The energy of this piece is fueled by the juxtaposition of modern style versus Classical elements.Careful attention should be paid to balance/blend, steady rhythm, dynamics, articulation and meter changes. In the middle of the piece, each string section plays a different melody at the same time. Under all that noise a solo cello will start to play The Coventry Carol and after a while, everyone stops and listens to the cello's melody. Eventually, everyone all joins in playing that tune. It is a descriptive exciting piece, and the intention was to make it mysterious in style with a film-like storyline flowing through it. It has a calm intro going into a heavily syncopated driving 4 as the main theme punctuated by a heavy accented ostinato figure to add tension. The middle section is calmer and more relaxed where elements of the 1st theme appear in fragmented form. The intro returns once again before returning to the main theme which has slight modifications-extra accents etc, and the piece ends with the recurring stabs heard earlier before flourishing out. The ranges of the Clarinets are between one and a half octaves and 2 octaves depending on the part. Set at intermediate level but the full score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability. Ideal as a showpiece, contest/festival, concert etc or an additional piece for the repertoire. Price is for the full score and set of parts. 4 Mins 35 in length.

Their varied genetic backgrounds presented an opportunity to compose an eclectic suite with each piece presenting a style representative of their unique genetic heritage. Performance time for the entire suite is 23 minutes but each piece could stand alone on a concert program.  Toy for Timothy was written in a Native American style, highlighting this aspect of  Timothy's genetic heritage. Performance time is 3 minutes and 42 seconds, with a demand level of mostly intermediate with a few advanced sections.
