Meter changes set off the verses from the chorus melody, and there is one key change. This is appropriate for both worship services and any public Christmas program venue. It has been described as an electropop power ballad and became Goulding's most successful single.  This String Trio arrangement is obviously minus the massive synthesizers and crashing drums of the original soundtrack, but the song does translate well to the small ensemble. It gives the melody an innocent, intimate and vulnerable feel - quite like the mood of the original story line - and unpeels some of those shades of grey.
