Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.981250 Composed by Judith Cloud. Contemporary. Score. 3 pages. Judith Cloud #6860325. Published by Judith Cloud (A0.981250). The iconic Italian songs have served as the foundation for countless singers for over a hundred years.  My settings are an accessible alternative and will provide teachers with new tools for their students’ technical and musical advancement.  They offer a welcome change both melodically and harmonically and many have a limited range with a comfortable tessitura. Most of the songs are brief, lasting around two minutes.  Another attractive feature is the inclusion of a literal English translation directly above the Italian.  I believe these songs will be successful for auditions and in recital settings, both informal and formal.  My hope is that over time, these 24 Italian Songs and Arias for 21st Century Singers will take their place beside the originals for the establishment of a solid vocal technique.
