Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel) is a song written and recorded by Billy Joel for his River of Dreams album. It was inspired by his daughter. He reportedly wrote it for then 7-yr.-old Alexa Ray in response to her question, Where do we go when we die? He told her After you die, you go into other people's hearts, and they take you with them through their lives.  It's a beautiful lullabye, especially for a string trio.

 This dreamy „Kangaroo´s Lullabye was already accepted as a duo piece for violin lesson, as it is shown by a video on youtube many years ago. The piece would be even easier when it was transposed a fourth down, to G major. There are duo versions for all kinds of string instruments and moreover, there is a piano version, suitable for piano lesson!
