Published by Insieme Music and Arts Publishing (A0.1388366). Mandolin and Piano Version. MP3 is a MIDI - Rendering. This is a duo version of a work originally composed by Andrew Joseph for SATB Choir and Piano. The lyrics are adapted from William Wordsworth's Lines Written in Early Spring. This work evokes the joyful feeling associated with the coming of Spring. The music follows the contours of the poem, with the author struggling to allow the hopeful wonders of nature to alleve his troubled mind. Excerpt: If this belief from heaven be sent, If such be Nature’s holy plan, Have I not reason to lament - What man has made of man?.

Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Mandolin - Digital Download SKU: A0.1017674 Composed by Turlough Ó Carolan. Arranged by Gordon Jackson. Baroque,Celtic,Classical,Folk,World. Score and parts. 2 pages. Gordon Jackson #6434593. Published by Gordon Jackson (A0.1017674). Carolan’s FrolicTurlough Ó Carolan (1670-1738) was an Irish harper and composer. Carolan’s music does not sit comfortably in any one particular musical tradition. He was the product of a long line of Irish harpers dating from medieval times or before. He was also aware of Irish folk music, with many of his tunes having a ‘trad’ quality, particularly in his jig-like compositions. Finally, Carolan was influenced by the music of Italian Baroque composers that he would have heard played at the great houses he visited. Carolan’s Frolic is an example of the latter. This tune is most commonly known in the literature as ‘Thomas Judge’, but best known in Irish music circles as ‘Carolan’s Frolic’. As I have arranged it, there is no real need for accompaniment, as long as it is played by a skilful mandolin player, combining as it does quite speedy runs of semiquavers (32nd notes) and some tricky double stopping.
