For the cadenzas, the soloist is allowed to extend or improvise their own cadenza in place of the written ones. This is the 3rd Movement of a Flute Piece with string orchestra accompaniment. This piece is dedicated to one of my friends. The movement begins with a cadenza, followed by a new melody by the second violins and violas in response to the flute's call through the cadenza. The theme reaches its climax when the cellos are added to it. The theme abruptly ends on a dissonant chord as another cadenza follows, leading to a more moving and frantic theme in the form of call and response between the orchestra and soloist. The piece ends with the soloist leading the orchestra.

Expressive throughout, the first part of the melody is played above a drone. Simple accompaniment then builds towards a climax before the melody slips away like a distant echo.
