The composition begins as a very intimate prayer - and developed gradually into an enthusiastic public prayer. The soloist performance is the heart of the composition (as it can be heard in the recording https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFl-rV95MAA), and a very good soloist is one of the keys for a successful performance. The original tunes are simply beautiful, and the arrangements try to maintain this natural beauty. It's a very communicative and touching music, excellent as a part of any choral concert, and, of course a concert of sacred or Jewish music. May be sung by any good SATB ensemble of about 12 singers or more.

This is in the key of A major and uses the exact six notes that is used in the familiar Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, but of course the melody is completely different. This will allow the beginning violinist to have some needed supplemental literature. My daughter just started taking violin, so I wrote this for her as well. Hope it is a useful addition for beginning students. There is a separate violin part in the score and the accompaniment track as heard can be found under Pretty Little Bluebird Piano Track.

This is a collection of blessings set for SATB choir.  An organ may be used to provide a discrete drone for A Harvest Blessing, while an optional short introduction and colla parte accompaniment have been provided for Aaronic Blessing.  All three may, of course, be performed unaccompanied. While united by the theme of benediction, these pieces are distinct in style.  Harvest Blessing refers to the overtone series, while An Irish Blessing makes use of “mitigated planing�, in which parts moving as block chords are offset by contrary motion, holds (non-traditional suspensions) and other devices.  Aaronic Blessing is the longest piece in the collection, and features a variety of contrapuntal textures, although it is essentially highly tuneful in character.
