Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.734644 Composed by Joseph Hasper. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 22 pages. Joseph Hasper #59351. Published by Joseph Hasper (A0.734644). A 2015 Piano Contest selection! Dream Trajectories was inspired by dreams and how we experience them. In dreams, the laws of nature and physics do not always apply--at least not in the way they normally do. Cause and effect can be reversed, or done away with. The same events can be played out repeatedly with different results. The familiar becomes unfamiliar, and we may at times have uncanny insights and magical abilities. Time takes on a different quality in dreams, too. Scenes from a long time ago can be juxtaposed with recent events. The passage of years can occur in a blink. Sometimes there is no perception of time at all, and we simply experience events without any reference to time. And sometimes dreams are scary.

SATB choir, with optional piano, harp, or orchestra - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8183-E Composed by Kirke F. Mechem. Christmas. 6 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8183-E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8183-E). Kirke Mechem composed the Seven Joys of Christmas for the Chamber Singers of the San Francisco College for Women. He set out with the goal of setting lesser-known, but none the less attractive, carols from different countries in order to paint different aspects of joy for the Christmastide. He employed the number Seven because it is considered a magical number (as it is applies to mystery in the liturgy). The final carol, God bless the master of this house, is an amusing combination of all the carols in the composition, in addition to other well-known Christmastide melodies. In certain passages, two, three, even four different carols are being performed at the same time!

Bassoon,Clarinet,Double Bass,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1366668 Composed by Claude Debussy. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century. 17 pages. RayThompsonMusic #950991. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1366668). Debussy: Piano Preludes Bk.2 No.5 Bruyères (Heather) - symphonic wind dectetArranged double wind quintet/bassDebussy's Préludes are 24 pieces for solo piano, divided into two books of 12 preludes each. Unlike some notable collections of preludes from prior times, such as Chopin's Op. 28 preludes, or the preludes from Johann Sebastian Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier, Debussy's do not follow a strict pattern of tonal centres. This is from the 2nd Book.I have arranged all of these preludes from both books:Book 1Danseuses de DelphesVoilesLes sons et le parfums…..Des pas sur le neige La fille aux cheveux de linLa Cathédral engloutieMinstrelsBk.2BruyèresGeneral LevineHommage à S.Pickwick EsqCanopeAs if by magic, we are transported to heather covered V it shows that this shepherd is a distant cousin of ‘la fille heathland with a piece much reminiscent of la Fille aux cheveux de lin’. The same calm, the same purityaux Cheveux de Lin from book one. Nature and innocence demand a spontaneous and laidback approach to those delicate and poetic riffs to match the colour and aroma of fragrant purple shrubs. Birds may be heard calling, accompanied by the distant refrain of a shepherd’s flute in this harmonious and homogeneous prelude — an admirable contrast to numbers IV and VI.In direct connection with this prelude, Marguerite Long mentions a Debussy souvenir pairing the scent of sea mist and coastal pines, and if she is correct this would take us to Arcachon in south west France. It is possible that the young composer first went there in 1880 with the baroness Nadejda Von Meck and later in 1904 when he stayed with the uncle of Emma Bardac (neÌe Moyse), his future bride. The pastoral and familiar poetry of a woodland scene where the earth’s pervasive scent mingles with the subdued display of patches in purple.— CortotA peaceful melody on a shepherd's pipe, resonating on the silent moorland. With its Celtic pentatonic structureand the same diatonic transparency, time-signature and tempo provide a clear link.— Harry Halbreich

Juan Maria Solare #906905. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.1318234). Aserrando a una mujer (Sawing a Woman in Half)This might well be the first coloratura tango in history. And while it is innovative, it is deeply rooted in the tango tradition, both musically and thematically: one of the recurring themes of primitive tango was precisely the circus. The act of sawing a woman is the circus magic trick par excellence. This song was written and composed in mid-August 2023 and is dedicated to Coco Joura, who suggested the subjet. Lyrics and music by Juan María Solare.
