Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1166066 Composed by Traditional/Anonymous. Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Classical,Early Music,Folk,Traditional. Individual part. 46 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #766444. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1166066). This is the thirtieth-second of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all  volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view.Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.Volume 32 (Songs 838-864)Tam LinTaney CountyTarpaulin Jacket (the)Tattie JockTen Joys of Mary (the)There was a Pig went out to DigThere was an Old Woman in our townThere’s nae luck aboot the hooseThis Old ManThou Bonnie Wood o’ CraigieleaThousands or MoreThree Dukes (the)Three HarksThree Jolly HuntsmenThree little babesThree Maidens a-milking did goThree PiratesThree Ravens (the)Three Score and TenThree SistersThresher and the Squire (the)Threshing SongThrough MoorfieldsThrough the GroveThe Tinker’s WeddingTipteerers’ CarolTo All the Good Children, A Happy New Year.

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.784990 Composed by Irish Traditional. Arranged by Dorothy van Joolen Barth. Folk,Holiday,Multicultural,Wedding,World. Score and parts. 11 pages. Dorothy van Joolen Barth #6215. Published by Dorothy van Joolen Barth (A0.784990). Irish music cast its spell early on in the many years I have performed as part of a duo of violin and recorder, so it was inevitable that I would be drawn to create new arrangements for this intimate combination of instruments. Treasured Tresses contains six traditional tunes selected from O’Neill’s Music of Ireland and arranged as duos by Dorothy van Joolen Barth. These tunes are part of a larger anthology titled Maidens of Melody, available separately as a download for those who would prefer to have the complete book. As an audio sample, The Red Haired Girl is provided here. These arrangements can be played on recorder and violin (which is how we play them), flute and violin, or two violins. If the upper part is played on recorder, the recorder player may switch between soprano, alto, and tenor recorders in accordance with the range and mood of each piece. We generally prefer the soprano recorder on the faster reels, jigs, and hornpipes and the tenor recorder (or sometimes the alto recorder) on the more lyrical pieces. In performing this music, I often devise new decorations, in keeping with Celtic tradition where no two performances of a piece are ever identical. You will likewise add your own meaning to this evocative music. Violinists can add authenticity by applying Irish bowing techniques, which includes various slurring patterns. Such bowings have been kept to a minimum in this collection for recorder and violin, but the techniques are well worth exploring and developing. These pieces are delightful to perform for Celtic festivals, St. Patrick's Day celebrations, weddings, birthdays, and other theme events. May this music provide both player and listener with much enjoyment.

David Warin Solomons #1080739. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1505354). Simple arrangement of Thomas Weelkes' three part madrigal Since Robin Hood, Maid Marion and Little John are gone-ahThe song follows the Shakespearean actor Will Kemp on his trip to France, dancing all the way.Kemp played the clownish characters in all of Shakespeare's productions until - eventually - the two fell out. Kemp then decided to prove the full extent of his zaniness by dancing all the way from London to Norwich in less than ten days (hence the epithet nine days' wonder). Shortly after this he took on an even more adventurous plan - to dance all the way to Italy, via France and the Alps. The book Shakespeare's Clown by David Wiles, can provide further information if required.Since Robin Hood, Maid Marian,And Little John are gone-a,The hobby horse was quite forgot,When Kemp did dance alone-a.He did labour after the tabor. For to dance then into France. He took pains to skip itIn hope of gains. He did trip itOn the toe, diddle diddle diddle doe.

Guitar,Medium-Low Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1205814 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Simon James. Chamber,Classical,Opera. 11 pages. DML #803997. Published by DML (A0.1205814). This charming serenade is taken from Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni. Although originally a type of madrigal by the 18th century the term Canzonetta came to mean a song for voice and accompaniment, usually in a light secular style. The Canzonetta appears at the beginning of Act 2 of Don Giovanni. Wanting to seduce Donna Elvira's maid, and believing that she will trust him better if he appears in lower-class clothes, Don Giovanni orders Leporello to exchange cloak and hat with him. Leporello, posing as Don Giovanni, leads Donna Elvira away to keep her occupied while Don Giovanni serenades her maid with his mandolin - Deh, vieni alla finestra – Ah, come to the window. The original instrumentation was for mandolin and pizzicato strings and so transfers to two guitars very well. I have dropped the key from D to C as otherwise the baritone part is rather high and the key change makes it more comfortable. The guitar parts are not difficult but do need a really good sense of ensemble. I have altered the chord voicings occasionally to better suit the guitar and sometimes changed octave for guitar 1 which is essentially the mandolin part.
