Str. (mind. 3 · 3 · 3 · 3 · 1) recorder (sopranoino-, alto-, tenor- and bass recorder), strings and harpsichord - advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q19105 Concerto for recorder, strings and harpsichord. Composed by Enjott Schneider. This edition: piano reduction with solo part. Downloadable, Piano reduction with solo part. Duration 18 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q19105. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q19105). With his 'Omaggio a Vivaldi' Enjott Schneider drew a musical portrait of the Italian Baroque master. Whereas the first movement illuminates the topic of Vivaldi's scandalous relationship with the prima donna Anna who was his junior by 25 years, the second movement focuses on the composer of magical dream worlds who was far ahead of his time. The final virtuoso picture characterizes Vivaldi in the way that many of his contemporaries saw him: as a manically composing eccentric. The Concerto for recorder, strings and harpsichord is dedicated to the virtuoso flutist Stefan Temmingh. Created by the composer himself, the piano score now makes this interesting piece accessible for chamber music purposes.

Holda is a Germanic goddess with varying characteristics – maiden, mother, hag, spinner, storm-bringer, ruler of the hunt, goddess of winter and domestic arts, protector, and thief of children’s souls. She was usually seen dressed in snow-white with white or silver hair, regardless of whether she appeared as young and beautiful or as an old hag. This easy piano composition evokes the goddess moving through a snowy landscape. From the album 13 Witches, available from online music retailers and streaming services. Instrumental Duet,Piano Alto Flute,Instrumental Duet,Piano,Viola - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1314012 By Gary Woolf - Flute/Alto Flute, Matthias Reuland - Viola/Violin, and Sebastian Kurz - Piano. By Geraldine (Denny) Green. 21st Century,Chamber,Contemporary. 35 pages. Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic #902737. Published by Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic (A0.1314012). ALL PURCHASES COME WITH SCORE AND PARTSTwo Snapshots Of 2017 was written, unsurprisingly, in 2017 and has two movements and a total duration of about 10 minutes. The first movement, entitled Window, is the longer of the two. It is slow and ponderous and is scored for alto flute, viola and piano. The second movement, Gallop, is, as its name suggests, manically fast and wild, but not without humour and some hilarity. It is scored for flute, violin and piano. Both movements are differently scored at the special request of Gary Woolf and his Oakmount Trio, for whom it was written. In it I wished to express the two polar opposites of what life can be like – either slow, dark and brooding or insanely busy and fast moving without a second to think straight.

It is designed so that students can perform it both in a concert and accompanying a scene of a theatrical performance at school or high school. This version of Shaman is arranged for a band with flexible instrumentation distributed in 5 parts and percussion that can be played by incomplete groups without the music losing its integrity. The work depicts a shamanic ceremony. We listened to the songs of the Shaman, his dances and his invocations. An obsessive continuous rhythm runs through the work and on top of it some simple but forceful melodies refer to primitive songs. The duration is 2'50 and the complexity is level 2.

Piano,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587691 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by David McKeown. Children,Concert,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. 9 pages. David McKeown #4737769. Published by David McKeown (A0.587691). Swan Lake, is the first ballet of three composed by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Here, the famous main theme is arranged for Solo Violin and Piano, directly from the orchestral score. The first performance of the ballet in Moscow in 1877 was not well received. The production was fraught with disagreements between choreographer and composer; the Russian audience were suspicious of the story’s Germanic origins and the music was regarded as too complex for ballet. Tchaikovsky did not live to see a triumphant revival production in 1895 that confirmed Swan Lake as one of the greatest ballet scores of all. Included in the single download are six pages of piano score and a separate two-page part for the solo instrument. The short sample here and the full length version on the youtube link are from the Clarinet version of this arrangement.Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances. The melody is expressive and legato; the accompaniment is challenging in parts, with tremolos and rich chords. Both parts require dramatic dynamic contrasts and the solo part explores a wide range of the instrument. The overall performance time is around two and a half minutes. There are many more top quality arrangements and compositions by David McKeown for you to browse at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/david-mckeown/6203

Organ - advanced to difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q6218 Composed by Jean Guillou. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Op. 20. Duration 36 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q6218. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q6218). This is the name given to the ancient tales and legends of Scandinavia, mostly drawn up in Iceland. The term itself is of Germanic origin, form the verb 'sagen' which means to say, to recount. The title also has to do with what is said, what is recounted, in a musical epic of today. Three of these pieces, Sagas 2, 4 and 6, have the particularity of being improvisations. In Saga 1, the instrument seems to awaken out of a dream of which the two opposing elements gradually become ordered. Pedal staccati soon take control and come to predominate as they build up while, in a spirit of contradiction, various solo steps, Cornet, Cromore, unfold their melismas. The dream then reestablishes itself, this time for good. The second Saga is a sombre, frenetic dance based on groups of five semiquaves. It dies away, then, after a long silence, a note emerges, and this lone note, on three different solo stops, beaten, hunted by its two neighbouring notes in increasingly animated accents, anacruses and appoggiaturas, disappears, giving way to the sombre dance which then broadens out. It is interrupted all of a sudden by the irritated, exasperated, fuming tone of that harshness that overdoes itself and vanishes. The sombre dance appears one last time, letting itself go into paroxym. The third Saga unfolds as a very ancient chant, the memory of an Ossianic chant of the earliest times. The fourth Saga develops the lyricism of a tale to be told. But in midway comes a sort of destructive outburst of which the ever tighter links give way for a moment to pure narrativity, which, after a few upsets, ends the piece with the memory of great danger overcome by candour. The fifth Saga is a kind of quiet walk, interspersed with a few controversies, interceptions and demonstrations that are rather more lively. The sixth Saga develops a kind of theme in runs, whose constantly rhythmic rebounding might bring out the idea of apologetic or exalted acclamation.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.925364 Composed by Ward De Vleeschhouwer. 20th Century,Contemporary,Spiritual,World. Score. 5 pages. Ward De Vleeschhouwer #6331445. Published by Ward De Vleeschhouwer (A0.925364). An Icaro is a shamanic power song learned from an elder shaman or spirits. They are used to communicate with the spirits of the natural world, to heal the sick, and to actually provoke certain kinds of visual displays or visions in those intoxicated with ayahuasca. The most important of these songs are those learned from the spirits themselves or those recieved in the dream visions which can follow an ayahuasca session. Icaros are either whistled or sung, and can be expressed in any language. The shamans generally sing in a spirit dialect that is a mixture of their native language (i.e. Quechua, Shipibo-Conibo, Asháninka, etc.), Spanish, and different evocative sounds or vocables. Icaros represent a system of communication between the shaman and the spirits, and the shaman and the participants in the ceremony. The shamans believe that every living thing has an icaro and that these icaros can be learned.

Brass Ensemble Horn - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.931279 Composed by Henry Purcell. Arranged by Alessandro Macrì. Baroque,Concert,Film/TV,Standards. Score and parts. 10 pages. Music Macri Editions #6139975. Published by Music Macri Editions (A0.931279). King Arthur, or The British Worthy (Z. 628), is a semi-opera in five acts with music by Henry Purcell and a libretto by John Dryden. It was first performed at the Queen's Theatre, Dorset Garden, London, in late May or early June 1691.The plot is based on the battles between King Arthur's Britons and the Saxons, rather than the legends of Camelot (although Merlin does make an appearance). It is a Restoration spectacular, including such supernatural characters as Cupid and Venus plus references to the Germanic gods of the Saxons, Woden, Thor, and Freya. The tale centres on Arthur's endeavours to recover his fiancée, the blind Cornish Princess Emmeline, who has been abducted by his arch-enemy, the Saxon King Oswald of Kent.King Arthur is a dramatick opera or semi-opera: the principal characters do not sing, except if they are supernatural, pastoral or, in the case of Comus and the popular Your hay it is mow'd, drunk. Secondary characters sing to them, usually as diegetic entertainment, but in Act 4 and parts of Act 2, as supernatural beckonings. The singing in Act 1 is religious observance by the Saxons, ending with their heroic afterlife in Valhalla. The protagonists are actors, as a great deal of King Arthur consists of spoken text. This was normal practice in 17th century English opera. King Arthur contains some of Purcell's most lyrical music, using adventurous harmonies for the day.
