This note then returns as the arpeggio chords change underneath to reveal it as a minor third of a chord related by three degrees of separation from the original - C major to E flat minor. The harmonies and melody continue to sway in their relations in a curious and yet logical progression. I have provided score and parts and also a separate version of the guitar part which provides chord names and fretboard symbols; this would make it useful for educational purposes.

My setting of the hymn tune Diademata ('Crown Him with Many Crowns') consists of three treatments of the tune.  The first begins with a brief introduction, followed by the tune (played on a trumpet-en-chamade stop), contrasted with a rhythmically active accompaniment.  After a brief modulatory interlude, the second treatment offers a stately 4-voice harmonization for manuals alone.  Another brief interlude then modulates back to the original tonic.  The final treatment in 12/8 meter presents the tune in long, ponderous notes in the pedal, while a 2-voice accompaniment in the hands provides a sprightly stream of eighth-notes that serve as a counterweight.  I have provided a full-length recording to aid the prospective buyer in the decision-making process.  I encourage you to search the Sheet Music Plus or the Sheet Music Direct website for other hymn arrangements of mine, some for organ and others for  piano.
