SKU: A0.1292776

Composed by Alan Bergman, Marilyn Bergman, and Michel Legrand. Arranged by John Ivor Holland. 20th Century,Film/TV,Jazz,Pop,Singer/Songwriter. Score and Parts. 72 pages. John Ivor Holland #883342. Published by John Ivor Holland (A0.1292776).

Sweet Gingerbread Man is a song with music by Michel Legrand and lyrics by Alan Bergman and Marilyn Bergman. It was recorded originally for director Leonard Horn's 1970 screen version of Robert T. Westbrook's 'The Magic Garden of Stanley Sweetheart', a film about young people in Greenwich Village, New York. The song for the film was performed by the Mike Curb Congregation, who went on to record other film songs, including I Was Born in Love with You, another Legrand/Alan Bergman/Marilyn Bergman composition, this time for the 1970 film version of 'Wuthering Heights'. Sammy Davis Jr., Jack Jones, the Muppets, Bobby Sherman and Sarah Vaughan have all recorded versions of this charming, gently swinging classic; from it's distinctive opening riff to it's closing jazzy phrases, your audience is sure to love this sweet, summery classic.

By Ballroom. By Alan Bergman, Billy Goldenberg, and Marilyn Bergman. Arranged by Rebecca (Boo) de Bruin. Barbershop,Broadway,Musical/Show. 4 pages. Rebecca de Bruin #933981. Published by Rebecca de Bruin (A0.1349236).

Music by Billy Goldenberg and lyrics by Alan and Marilyn Bergman. Arranged in 2023 by Rebecca (Boo) de Bruin. 4 pages for Sweet Adelines (ladies' barbershop) quartet. (Tenor, lead, baritone, bass are roughly equivalent to SSAA). Please note: in keeping with normal barbershop practice, an octave-shifted bass clef is used for the baritone and bass parts (roughly equivalent to alto 1 and alto 2).

Fifty Percent is a defiant ballad taken from the 1978 Tony-nominated stage musical by Jerome Kass, Billy Goldenberg and Alan and Marilyn Bergman. Having fallen for a married man, Bea sings of how she would rather have fifty percent of him, or any percent of him than all of anyone else at all.

Vocal ranges are:
Tenor (S1): Eb4 - F5 (Eb above middle C to F above high C)
Lead (S2): Bb3 - D5 (Bb below middle C to D above high C). (Until the tag the highest note is C, and an alternative tag is included)
Baritone (A1): C4 - C5 (Middle C to high C)
Bass: Db3 - F4 (Db below middle C to F above middle C)

NB It's entirely possible to sing this in E / F# rather than Eb / F (as my quartet does) provided you have a relatively high lead: but it makes it much harder to read!

Learning tracks are available from NewVoice Studio.

Composed by Alan Bergman, Marilyn Bergman, and Michel Legrand. Arranged by David Lee Gingras and John E. Dosher. Broadway,Jazz,Musical/Show. Score. 4 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #696991. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1092890).

The Windmills of Your Mind is a song with music by French composer Michel Legrand and English lyrics written by Americans Alan and Marilyn Bergman. The French lyrics, under the title Les Moulins de mon cœur, were written by Eddy Marnay. A single by Noel Harrison from the album The Thomas Crown Affair was released in 1968. The song (with the English lyrics) was introduced in the film The Thomas Crown Affair in 1968 and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We kept the left-hand very simple because the strong melody carries this song quite well. We hope you like what we've done with the song!
