Jazz Combo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1023975 By Peabo Bryson And Regina Belle. By Alan Menken. Arranged by Odd Helge Hveding. Film/TV. Score and parts. 27 pages. Oh2Musikk #3056155. Published by oh2Musikk (A0.1023975). How can your trombone quartet gain more audience? By playing with other people. You want your concerts to be well visited and to help you with that, I make arrangements (and compositions) for trombonequartet with guitar, piano, bass and drums. They also contain an optional bass-trombone/ tuba part and sometimes a solo part. This one contains a trombone solo part. This arrangement of A Whole New World, is scored for Solo Trombone in front of the ensemble mentioned above.  There are two solo parts in the set. One high and and one low. You can combine those two if that makes you more comfortable. Durata: 3,5 minutes (approx.) The song itself is about Alladin taking Jasmine on a ride on the magic carpet. The lyrics are all about discovering what you didn’t know about and be grateful for all the adventures life gives. This makes it a perfect piece to play in a variety of places, like weddings, celebrations of any kind, graduations, not to mention many types of concerts. With a few adjustments you can also use parts of this arrangement and make it work. It’s most powerful when you use the whole band, but it still makes a lot of sense if you have to skip some of the parts. There are so many times I have had to skip a piece in a concert, using a not as good substitute, because we didn’t have the people to play it. In this series I have made it easier to still be able to play it, even if you don’t manage to cover every part. Check it out and you’ll understand. Do you want to know more about me and my music? Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1300078 By Bee Gees. By Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Country,Disco,Film/TV,Rock,Singer/Songwriter. Score. 4 pages. Timothy Stapay #889845. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1300078). How Can You Mend a Broken Heart is a song released by the Bee Gees in 1971. It was written by Barry and Robin Gibb and was the first single on the group's 1971 album Trafalgar. It was their first US No. 1 single and also reached No. 1 in Cashbox magazine for two weeks. The Bee Gees were a musical group formed in 1958 by brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The trio were especially successful in popular music in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and later as prominent performers in the disco music era in the mid- to late 1970s. The group sang recognisable three-part tight harmonies: Robin's clear vibrato lead vocals were a hallmark of their earlier hits, while Barry's R&B falsetto became their signature sound during the mid- to late 1970s and 1980s. The group wrote all their own original material, as well as writing and producing several major hits for other artists, and are regarded as one of the most important and influential acts in pop-music history. Bee Gees Lyrics:How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?I can think of younger days when living for my lifeWas everything a man could want to doI could never see tomorrowBut I was never told about the sorrowsAnd, how can you mend a broken heart? How can you stop the rain from falling down? How can you stop the sun from shining? What makes the world go 'round? How can you mend this broken man?How can a loser ever win? Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live againI can still feel the breeze that rustles through the treesAnd misty memories of days gone byWe could never see tomorrowNo one said a word about the sorrowAnd how can you mend a broken heart? How can you stop the rain from falling down? How can you stop the sun from shining? What makes the world go 'round? And how can you mend this broken man?How can a loser ever win? Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live againLa la la la la la, la la la laLa la la la la la, la la la laPlease help me mend my broken heart and let me live againDa da da daDa da da da, da da da da da, da.

Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.885229 Composed by Kathryn Ellis. 20th Century,Contemporary,Folk. Score and parts. 80 pages. Ellis #3620019. Published by Ellis (A0.885229). Galveston, (from A Texas Symphony,) is the first movement of five Texas pieces that are musical illustrations of historical events that took place in Texas. Galveston, tells the story of the Battle of Three Trees fought between Jean Lafitte's pirates and the Karankawa Indians, Feb.21, 1821. The battle was a result of the pirates capturing a Karankawa Indian maiden, and the Indians retaliating by capturing one of Lafitte's men. The U.S. Calvary arrived and assisted, and after a three day battle, 21 Indians were killed, and no pirates or U.S. Calvary soldiers were lost. The battle took place by a grove of trees then known as Campeche Cove, known today as Pirates' Cove, on the West end of Galveston. The music is about 12 minutes in length, scored for orchestra. Galveston is traditional romantic style program music. Strings open the piece with a wave theme designed to portray a pirate sailing ship in the Gulf of Mexico, then flows into a pirate theme, followed by a kidnapping theme, and Indian pow-wow with war drums, then the three day fight begins. There is a historical marker at Pirates' Cove erected in 1936 by the Texas Hwy Dept. to commemorate the Battle Of Three Trees.

Small Ensemble B-Flat Bass Clarinet,Percussion,Soprano voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1102258 Composed by Jeremy Hart. 20th Century. Score and parts. 13 pages. Jeremy Graham Hart #705661. Published by Jeremy Graham Hart (A0.1102258). 18/04/’21: A Reflection is written as a tentative expression of the tumultuous emotions experienced by the composer, upon watching so many landmarks of their home be threatened or destroyed by the fire which ravaged Table Mountain on the 18th and 19th of April 2021. The most impactful symbol of this tragedy is, for the composer, the heart-rending body of images showing the Jagger Reading Room ablaze. The score expresses the composer’s experiences in a collage, drawing from C. Debussy’s La Cathedral Engloutie and W. A. Mozart’s Requiem in evocation of the emotions surrounding the burning library, and enacts them in a three-part narrative. The opening is articulated as a collection of sporadic outbursts heard against a slower melody and a rising bell motif. This is an evocation of the shifting uncertainty of the early hours of the fire shortly after it had consumed the Rhodes Memorial Restaurant. This slowly becomes the evocation of horror and dismay that characterises the second section, as the fire takes hold of Mostert’s Mill, various parts of the University of Cape Town forcing students into a full evacuation of their residences, and eventually the Jagger Reading Room. The finality of the second section’s ending is followed by the muted resignation and mourning of the third and final section. The slowed melody from the first section returns, without the frenetic outbursts. All the listener is left with is the certainty of what has happened. The melody tries to rise to triumph, as the fire is held back from any further destruction, but ultimately falls back down and limps its way to an unsatisfactory and inconclusive closing statement.

Soprano voice, mezzo-soprano voice, or tenor voice and piano - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.9229-E Composed by Juliana Hall. 7 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #9229-E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.9229-E). English.Written for Jun Mo Yang, a young tenor studying in the graduate Vocal Arts Program at the Bard Conservatory of Bard College. He and his fellow students were working on a special project studying contemporary composers whose work engages with climate change, environmentalism, and the natural environment. The students had been asked to read a chapter from David Haskell’s Sounds Wild and Broken and had further been given the following direction to guide them: “we are assigning each of you to a project in which you will seek out song repertoire from a living composer whose work responds to climate change or the natural environment, heightening our connection to and awareness of the natural world. This topic has arisen from a call to Bard faculty to #MakeClimateAClass: Bard faculty are urged to use our collective power as educators to engage with the climate change crisis.â€Jun wrote to me that he was drawn to my music and asked whether any of my songs might fit within this subject area. At the time I had plenty of songs that spoke of the natural world, but none I could categorize as specifically dealing with the class’ more narrow focus, so I offered to write this song on a poem by one of my favorite poets, Carl Sandburg, who even by the early twentieth century was noting the degradation of the natural environment and its impact on life of all kinds trying to adjust to changed circumstances brought on in one way or another by man. I quickly found the poem Buffalo Dusk, seeing how strongly it speaks of the extinction of species and the loss that represents. Jun and his teachers remarked what a “beautiful and sad poem†it was, so in short order I was pleased to present this song to Jun, who gave Buffalo Dusk its first performance in April of 2023 at the Bard Conservatory.
