Not too difficult, probably intermediate level, though there's a mini run of sixteenth triplets in left hand at one point that might be difficult. This is an original composition I made when I was younger and I've polished it up a little. I recommend playing with a pedal and using dynamic phrasing as you go up and down the runs. This was the first song I ever wrote that I considered to be brilliant and really gave me the confidence and motivation to continue on my path to being an origianl composer. I've gotten tired of this talentless era that we live in where it's all about using technology to remaster and auto-tune and just cover the same old songs... This was my attempt to make something that is formless, no template for rehashing, but something truly original. I have tried to carry that spirit with my subsequent songs. I'd like to give you my art for free, but sadly this world wants me to be a slave to my employer and I'm not making enough money, so here I am trying to sell my music. I feel like the spirit of art aught to be a spirit of creation and giving. Modern art has perverted this spirit to one of copying and marketing... I spent about one month working on it and I considered it my masterpiece at the time. It's been many years since then and I had to do a lot of polishing to make it publishable, but I am still rather proud of this one. As the title suggests, the melody goes through many transformations with changes in meter and key signatures. It's much like a theme and variation with lots of transitions. There are some bits where the music takes on my normal dark quality, but this one is actually more of a positive and upbeat song, even a little jazzy at times. I don't think it's too difficult to play except for a climactic part where the left hand has a lot of movement at the same time as the right hand melody. Also the multiple key changes and odd meter changes might be confusing. I was trying to be different and original as I usually am. I hope you enjoy.

It is a solo piano piece in a classical style with a dark, somber feel, and a dynamic, changing meter. Not exactly a true rhapsody, more of a theme with variations; I was in high school when I composed it and I thought the title sounded cool. I've polished it up since then and I think it's a great solo piece and an enjoyable listen. I recommend playing using the pedal and crescendoing and decrescendoing with the melody as it goes up and down. The notes are the fundamental structure of the song, but I'd expect you to add dynamics and embellishments as feels best to you as a performer. The difficulty might be intermediate to advanced. There's lots of arpeggios which makes it not too hard to follow, but some of the fingering while jumping up and down with chords and the varying meter could make it difficult. Enjoy.
