This is an original tune and was inspired by a walk I had with my wife and daughter in Saltburn, a seaside resort just a few miles from where I live. It's a happy feel good tune. The sheet music is for piano solo and it shows the tune more clearly than the YouTube video as a stride piano/ragtime piece with a swing bass left hand.
I take it through 3 keys of C, Db and D major. As usual the left hand can be simplified by playing any 10ths as single notes or octaves. Bass notes can often be played an octave higher to lessen the distance stretched. I don't notate dynamics, pedal or fingering as I prefer to leave such issues to the discretion of the individual pianist. Teachers, in any event, can never agree on these things. Also please be aware this is a piano solo and doesn't include notation for the other instruments in my YouTube video. I write all my tunes as piano solos and they are perfect in this format so will have a full sound throughout.
I hope you have as much fun playing this tune as I did writing and arranging it.

This composition of mine is a slightly up tempo waltz with a bit of a swing to it ie tied triplets. It is a cheerful waltz but quite schmaltzy and nostalgic too. I take it through the 2 keys of F major and Gb major. I do use 10ths quite a bit in my playing but they can easily be replaced with single bass notes or octaves as required.
I don't indicate pedaling, fingering or dynamics as no two piano teachers ever agree on such things and I prefer to entrust the tunes interpretation to the individual pianist. Likewise the suggested tempo is not written in stone.
I enjoyed writing this waltz and hope it brings a similar pleasure to anyone who learns to play it.

This is a Stride Piano piece and sort of Ragtime as well. Very much influenced by the styles of Scott Joplin and the early jazz pianists who all had colourful names like Fat's Waller, Willie 'The Lion' Smith and James P Johnson. It's a very cheerful, joyous upbeat tune which is hopefully intended to get toes tapping. It's one of my personal favourites from the tunes I have composed.

I wrote this tune a couple of years ago having not composed in decades. I was suprised I could still do it and I've kept composing ever since. The tune sounds vaguely classical and has a number of trills in the melody which add something. The harmony is a little jazzy in places so it's a bit of a mixed genre. I felt it would make an excellent theme tune for some film or programme. It goes in key from A major at the beginning to C major at the end with a touch of minor along the way. 
I don't notate dynamics, fingering and pedals as I prefer to leave this up to the individual pianist and no two teacher ever agree on these subjects. 
I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I did writing and arranging it.

I started off writing this as a Country and Western style piece trying to imitate Floyd Kramer with his hammer on/hammer off guitar style piano but it became more ragtime/stride piano as I went along, but you might still detect a little here and there.
I haven't included dynamics, fingering or pedalling and leave these to individual choice. No two pianists agree on these things anyway. I have included chord symbols which I always find helpful when learning a piece. It is stride piano and the left hand can be tricky but it is acceptable to leave out intervals of 10ths and octaves etc and just play single notes followed by a chord. Especially for pianists with shorter fingers.
Please note this is just a piano transcription for piano solo and doesn't include notation for the other instruments in my YouTube video. It was written to be a piano solo and sounds perfectly full in that context.

This is a fun arrangement of the Elton John classic in a sort of Stride/Ragtime piano style. For me, it works very well. Elton himself was well versed in honky tonk, pub piano styles and the chord progression is very accepting of this treatment. If some of the voicings ie 10ths are too large for your left hand simply play single bass notes or octaves instead, or feel free to roll the tenths. 
Please note this is a piano solo and I haven't notated any of the other instruments in my YouTube arrangement. I do, however, write my arrangements for solo piano first and they sound perfect as such. I don't include fingering, phrasing or dynamic marking as no two piano teachers will agree upon so I leave this trustingly to the individual performer. I do include chord symbols which I find more helpful in learning repertoire.
Have fun playing this. I did. I'm a big Elton John fan and this is one of my favourite numbers of his and it was a pleasure to notate it.

I originally wrote this as a song with lyrics. Most of my songs have become piano instrumentals over the years and this is one of those. It's really a ballad but has a little interlude of stride piano in the middle. 
I haven't included fingering, pedalling or dynamics leaving these to the individual player as no two piano teachers ever agree on these. I have included chord symbols which I always find useful when learning a piece.
Please note this is a piano solo and I haven't notated the other instruments that are on my YouTube video but it works really well as a piano instrumental.
It's sort of a pop song/ballad but has some classical-style fills and some slightly jazzy chords.
As one of my earliest compositions I am rather proud of it. I have elaborated on it in my YouTube video but it is not too difficult to play and I hope you have fun playing it.

I take this classic tune through 2 keys - C major and Db major. It is basically a stride piano version but the right hand owes a lot to ragtime too. It should be played with a nice swing rhythm ie tied triplets not straight quavers (eighth notes) and with a bit of a bounce!
I don't include fingering or dynamics of which no two piano teachers would agree on, so I leave this to the discretion of the player. I do include chord symbols which I always find most useful in learning a tune. 
Please note this is a piano solo and doesn't show the notation for the other instruments included on my youtube upload ie strings and bass. I write all my tunes to stand up as piano solos so it sounds perfect when played as a piano solo.

I wrote this piano solo I wrote for a dog I had over 2 decades ago called 'Lucy'. I picked her up from the dog pound and had 10 lovely years with her. I wrote the piece as I only had one photograph of her, I lost many photographs whilst moving house recently. When I first got her camera's on mobile phones didn't exist and I wasn't a keen photographer. Having only one image it made me nostalgic so I decided to write a tune. So instead of having memories in terms of photographs now I've got a musical one to go with the images in my head. 
It's a happy tune as she was a happy dog that made me laugh many times. It's written in an old fashioned piano style known as 'Stride Piano' which has it's roots in the ragtime of Scott Joplin and found it's peak in the piano stylings of the great Fat's Waller in the 'Roaring Twenties'. The British pianist Russ Conway has some bearing on my style which adds a bounce in the form of reverse 10ths.
My notation is simple, I haven't added fingerings or dynamic marks. The tempo mark is only a guide. I do include chord symbols which I often find are the best aide to sight reading. It's a tricky style to master but extra notes in the bass can be left out and single notes alternating with chords will suffice. Hope you enjoy playing it.

This is my piano version of the tune Poor People of Paris (La Goualante Du Pauvre Jean). It is a feel good stride piano version in the spirit of the pianist Winnifred Attwell. I was also in mind of the iconic version done by Edith Piaf also. It contains a little interlude in the style of JS Bach that I hope will amuse.
The left hand can be tricky at speed but single notes can be played instead of octaves and tenths and the chords can be simplified without losing the overall style.
I haven't included dynamic markings and fingerings, leaving this choice to the individual pianist. Likewise with the use of sustain pedal. Seldom can you get two pianists to agree on these things!
Please note this is a solo piano version and does not contain notation of the other instruments on my YouTube video. It was however written for solo piano and sounds just as good with or without other instruments.

This tune was written in 1933 by Jerome Kern with words by Otto Harbach for the musical 'Robera'. It has been recorded by so many great artists but perhaps most famously by 'The Platters'. I have arranged it for piano in the key of F which and then modulated into Ab second time round. It has further key changes within the tune during the bridge. 
I have reharmonised it significantly to give it a jazz feel. I have given it a semi-quaver/sixteenth note feel rather than a swing beat which I felt suited it as a ballad.
Please note it is a piano solo and doesn't include the bass line that is on my YouTube recording. I write all my arrangements as piano solos first so it sounds perfect as such. I don't include pedal markings, fingerings or dynamics and prefer to leave this to the discretion of the individual pianist as you will get no two piano teachers to agree on these issues.
It's a wonderful tune and I hope you have as much fun playing my arrangement as I had writing it.

This piece should be played with a swing or bounce ie quavers/eighth notes should be played in a ratio of 3:2 to give it a shuffle. I've arranged it in a sort of Stride Piano style and the introduction owes a lot to Fats Waller and his famous waterfall technique. I don't include dynamics or fingering as no two piano teachers would agree on such things I prefer to leave these to the individual player. 
This is a really fun piece to play and is a tune of great nostalgic value for me.

This is my version of La Vie En Rose the classic French chanson. I take it through 3 keys - D, Eb and E major. I play it in a moderately upbeat stride piano style and elaborate a little on the melody.
It's a lovely haunting melody with a nice chord structure. I include chord symbols which always help me to learn and remember tunes. I don't include fingering or dynamics which you would never get two piano teachers to agree on so I leave these up to the discretion of the individual pianist.

This is a my piano version of 'A Kiss to Build a Dream On'
It is mostly in the key of C major but modulates briefly to Eb for the ending. I have arranged it in a stride piano style. This style of music has evolved from the ragtime of Scott Joplin through the early jazz piano players like Fats Waller and James P Johnson. The left hand can be tricky but it can be simplified by replacing the tenths with single bass notes.
It's both a cheerful and sentimental tune. I have included chord symbols which I find as useful as the notation when learning a piece. I haven't included pedal symbols, dynamics or fingering - leaving this as a choice for the player and no two pianist ever see eye to eye on these issues in any event!

This is my version of Jerome Kern's classic 'The Way You Look Tonight'. One of the most popular jazz standards ever written, Dorothy Fields providing the lyrics. First sung in the film 'Swing Time' by Fred Astaire to Ginger Rogers but covered by such legends as Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennet and more recently by Michael Buble and Phil Collins.
My version is a Stride Piano version but owes the tempo and the right hand just a little bit to Erroll Garner and I take it through the 2 keys of Eb major and F major.
I haven't included fingering, dynamics or pedal markings as I prefer to leave these to the discretion of the individual pianist as no two piano teachers would ever agree on such things. Please note this is a piano solo and doesn't include notation for the other instruments that feature on my YouTube video. It was written, however, like all my compositions and arrangements, as a piano solo and sounds perfect as such. The left hand, being stride has a very full sound. Any tenths in the left hand can easily be converted to single notes or octaves for those with smaller hands.
