Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1406731 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mary Ann W. Snowball. Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. 3 pages. Kevin G. Pace #989487. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1406731). A gorgeous Christmas hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.Text:When Mary looked upon her Child, I wonder what she thought, While knowing she would share her Baby's life which would be, would be sought. I wonder if she asked for strength to master each new day, or did she know her Father would sustain her as she obeyed. When Mary looked upon her Child, I wonder if she viewed Herself as mother of God's Son . . . Him, who would be pursued. Or did she hold her Baby close, just wanting to protect?I wonder if her eyes had tears each day while sweet Jesus, while Jesus slept. When Mary looked upon her Child, I wonder if she prayed For greater faith to conquer all obstructions that would block the way. I wonder if she felt prepared for what was just ahead, And did she trust each day for help no matter where God led? When Mary looked upon her Child, I know she felt great love Because she had been given Him from God, our Father up above. She cared for our Lord all his life, throughout each mortal snare. Her gift would be a mother's special love; a deep love they always would share.

Jorg #5971195. Published by Paul A. Jorg (A0.522344). This arrangement is for 4-part male voices (TTBB) a cappella.  The melody is passed around to each part during the presentation, which makes it interesting to sing or to hear it sung. This Spiritual was created before the Civil War, circa 1840. Mary Don't You Weep (alternately titled O Mary Don't You Weep, Oh Mary, Don't You Weep, Don't You Mourn, or variations thereof) is a Spiritual that originates from before the American Civil War – thusit describes their origins among the enslaved, and it contains coded messages of hope and resistance.  The song tells the Biblical story of Mary of Bethany and her distraught pleas to Jesus to raise her brother Lazarus from the dead.  Other narratives relate to The Exodus and the Passage of the Red Sea, with the chorus proclaiming Pharaoh's army got drown-ded, and to God's rainbow covenant to Noah after the Great Flood.  There are many verses that developed over the years,  here are just a few.
